    Think my Half Wound experiment is over, making my G&L sound a bit lifeless. Where to next.....Chromes? La Bella Golds? Or Newtone :scratch_one-s_head:

      I have Ken Smith Slicks on just now, so I'm a bit cautious of spending money on another set of Half-wounds.....

      I wasn't overly keen on the D'Addario Halfwounds I had on a medium scale Jazz, but the Elite Grounds (Half, Grounds, same thing) I have on my fretless are fine.
      Newtone only make Roundwound, Chromes and Golds are obviously Flatwounds. I like Chromes, Golds are similar in their tonal brightness, Golds have a bit more attack to them compared to Chromes. I like Golds a lot, have them fitted to my Lakland currently.
