Is it slightly contoured where the forearm rests, or is it a trick of the light?
Yes it's contoured

2003 model in good condition, apart from small crack in the lacquer on the headstock which was there when I bought it ten years ago and hasn't gotten any worse. I've stripped the original thick poly coat from the body, grainfilled the wood and refinished with a light stain and clear nitro. Its not a professional job, but as can be seen in the photos, it's very decent.
Usual cool features with this model - '59(?) custom shop pickup, 70s style stamped tuners, 50s style ash slab body and Badass II bridge. Weight is 4kg.
I'm not overly keen to post if I can help it - would much rather sell to someone who can try it first and confirm they are happy with it, but if you are miles away and interested, we'll see what we can sort out.

What head and cab(s) do you have, and does it have the option to add a second/third cab? If so, you could use an additional cab and a long speaker cable (not DI) to get it where it needs to be. But it won't have independent volume or EQ.
Or if that isn't going to work - you could get an active monitor speaker, into which you plug the XLR coming from your head's DI out. Something like https://www.andertons.co.uk/rcf-art-710-a-mkiv-10-digital-active-speaker-700w-each-13000520
might work. There are loads of different size/price of active speakers: it depends on how loud the band and the drummer is (or specifically - how loud the monitor needs to be). Another related question: does the drummer need something just to get by, even if it's a bit mid-rangey; or do they want it to sound rich and lush? And a final consideration: some active speakers have EQ built it, so you could find one like that if that's a feature you need.Or you can use a separate, second bass combo. In that case though, I wouldn't use the DI from your head; instead, a splitter like a Boss LS-2 to feed your bass signal into the two separate rigs.
Cheers for that, so long as its an 8 ohm cab I'm borrowing, I will use my 1x12 as well as a monitor for the drummer. That makes most sense.

Can't you just sit your bass amp right next to the drummer?
No, this is the problem. The venue has built a drum riser right at the back in an alcove.

Something to amplify the signal then, could use a preamp pedal?

Hi, wondering if I can use the DI out of my head to go into a small cab to use as a monitor (via an EQ pedal) for our drummer?
Amps won't be mic'ed up so can't take anything out of the desk for this gig, so thought this may work as an alternative, or will I run into impedance problems? Cheers

Would you be interested in a swap for a Fender Mike Dirnt Precision?

Nice...what sort of finish on the body?

Not strictly bass effects related, however I am looking for a looper type pedal to trigger samples through the PA during a live band set (while also playing bass). Thing is, I'm not completely sure what I'm going to need - have been recommended the Digitech Jam Man Stereo, however there seems to be several different types and I don't really need a memory bank for 99 loops/effects and wondered if there is a more simple solution? I'm assuming any looper pedal with an SD card will work, however I just wanted to see what, if anything, others might be using for this purpose?
Cheers.

Ok, wanted one with an octave up really, but cheers for explaining.

I'm interested...how do the controls relate though, ie does it do a sub and high octave?

Could be loose speaker screws. My Midget was making a rattling/zinging sound at practice last week when cranked up and playing a B.
Took the grill off, tightened the screws and it seems to be sorted, so will add a dab of Loctite next time.

The Midget is designed to work best with the Compact or with another Midget. However, in the current market, even a used BF cab is likely to set you back a lot more money than a used TE cab.

This is the thing...hence my post! -
Just wondered if anyone had mixed their BF cabs with other brands and what the results were?
Just bought a Midget and its great for probably 70% of gigs, but will probably need a bit more oomph for a few others. The plan is to eventually get a pair of Midgets, but until then, a mate is selling his TE115 so just wondered if anyone had any thoughts as to how they might pair up?
Will be playing punk/rock 'n' roll using a p bass and an Orange Bass terror...

That's interesting, I'll do that with mine. Can it be left there permanently, while playing it?
