1. Hey everyone,

Here for sale is a Fender Squier Precision Special 5 string with some modifications. It's the P-bass with J-bass bass pickup scenario.

*Bareknuckle Jazz bass pickups with 10% overwind
*CTS Pots
*Gotoh Bridge (slight ding mark)
*Schaller Tuners
*Genuine Fender "F" neck plate

I sanded off the Squier decal with the intention of designing my own decal, then lacquering the headstock again. This didn't happen as I decided I didn't actually like playing 5 string basses, and lost interest with it once I had put everything together and given it a slight set up. I'm not a pro, but it's not terrible!

The bass could do with new strings as they are pretty dead, but it doesn't play too bad as is. I routed out the bass for the new pickups. Bridge side looks good and the pick guard doesn't look too bad.

It is in good condition, but has it's fair share of scuffs marks and buckle rash at the back, but still tidy.

If it doesn't sell, I'll break it for parts!

Thanks for looking!

2. That's a good question!

From the sellers original for sale thread, I believe it was these..... http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/boss-ds-...ncluded-461804/

3. Hi all,

For sale is my Boss DS1 which was modded by the previous owner.

The pedal is in good condition with some wear and scratches.

It sounds pretty rippin' and would make a good addition to anyone's rig who is desiring a sound ranging from slightly fuzzy, to pretty outright sick.

It's redundant due to me getting on better with my Tech 21 XXL.

Crikey.... I do like to make people sick with my "low end".... Maybe I should chuck in a hint of death as well.

5. Listen to the Karnivool album Sound Awake, as Jon Stockman uses an XXL in a fair bit of that I think. The song Simple Boy is a fav of mine.

I've got one and it's brutal. Not as low in the mix as a big muff though.

6. Hi there Basschatters!

I would like to put my Tobias Pro 6 up for trade for something 4 string.... I'm open to offers, maybe a P bass or something hot!

First off, the bass is gorgeous, a blend of 7 pieces of wood put together in a thru-neck config. The bass has an added EMG BQS active preamp and since I've owned it, I put in some EMG pickups that I had spare. It also has a Wilkinson bridge.

Unfortunately, one of the truss rods has sheared at the top of the neck and has made the neck bend slightly at the top. This is of course fixable but the fact is, I bought the bass with the intention of taking it to my bass tech to fix, but it plays really well. It keeps tune just fine and i've played gigs with it. I tried taking a pic of the slight bend, but it doesnt really come out in pics. It's probs only about 2m out on the one side.

I love the bass, but I don't really get on with 6 strings. 4 or 5 are just fine, but 6 make me muddled. :) It's got some serious power....

The bass has a few chips and dings, one being on the top of the headstock, but it's in very reasonable condition.

Cheers! :)
