1. I got my Warrick 4 String BO a couple of weeks ago and at first thought it sounded weired especially open E. The strings where pretty heavey gauge too. I put on new strings and fiddled with the settings and it now sounds brilliant. Took a bit of time to set it up, but I guess everyone plays differently

Loopers...
They look interesting - GAK seems to be stocking them. I got as far as entering my payment details but I had to pull back from the brink (new bass last week + new Line6 box this week = potentially p1ssed off wife!)
I just phone GAK and they said that Line 6 JM4's are only arriving early September. I'm going to go for one of the other loop pedals.

Is the Line 6 JM4 Looper out yet? http://uk.line6.com/jm4looper/ I can't seem to find it anywhere (in stock). I wonder if it has better functionality than the Jamman or Headrush
4. Please post advice on Bass Octave Pedals? My Line 6 Bass Pod XT has one built in but in isn't that great. Thanks
5. I have an ATK that I got in South Africa in 1996. My model was made in Japan. It really sounds decent. Great for Rock or Funk.
6.
Hi Shaun, If you are using a pod the best bet would be to record the audio from the pod into your computer and overlay that onto the video afterwards. That's what I did in the video in my signature, and it sounds much better than any camera mic would do. Cheers ped
Thanks I've tried that, but was struggling to sync the playing with the video footage. Would I need specialist video editing software to sync the video with the audio?
7. Hi Does anybody have any tips for improving video sound quality using a camcorder (JVC Everio with a built in mic only, no direct sound input). It sounds alright for finger style, but as soon as I start slapping, it sounds terrible. I am playing through a Bass POD XT Live and then into a small Roland Bass Amp, with built in rhythm section. Many thanks
8. What is the best software to buy to create drum tracks to play along too and use for recording. I have only really tried Reason. Are there better options, especially for funk and jazz sounding kits?

HI

Hi, My name is Shaun I am a bassplayer from South Africa. Ive just moved to London in March. I've only brought my guitar (Ibanez ATK 4 string) over so still need to purchase an amp here. It was to expensive to ship it over. (I had 2 amps: a Laney 250W with 1X15inch and an Ashdown 307W with 2X10inch speakers). I enjoy playing rock, funk and reggae. Ive been playing for about 11 years now (Im 25)

12. I am considering a 6 string bass as my next instrument. Is it common/easy to slap on a 6 string bass, or is it awkward? I am really into slapping.
