Here we go...measuring with a wooden folding rule (cm) the data is... exactly 26,5 cm with the folding rule positioned on top of the fret and 26,3cm positioned in front of the fret. I hope you can work with that ?!

From where I would not order directly 😉 Somebody asked for a golden toggle.....

Ordered the Sadowsky's at Thomann. They are even lighter than the Schaller's.

Could you post a pic with a mark of the end position of the measuring you asked for?... "top edge of D/G half of the pick up..." I am not sure what you mean- due to my Engish, not yours 😉 (top edge OR half of the pick up?)

They look good. Distributor is the unfriendly Mr. W of Warwick...57 Euros for one tuner.... thanks for the idea!!! If I can't find any other band I will test them.

I was thinking on Wlikinson's but without measuring I can see that they are too big for the headstock. What Gotoh's do you have? Still trying to find tuners with the Fender-ish wings but maybe modern tuners will have to do. Tried Schaller BM4L ..too short..

No name bridge..check....rings...check.... new Schallers ...negative....tuner axis too short...Gotoh bridge...negative...screws and screwholes to thin... Waitng for an idea of new tuners..

The most difficult part is done... the new golden bridge arrived today from the UK. Customs sucks ! Now only the new gold Schaller tuners have to arrive...

I use the YYZ only to add a bit of "tube" but don't want a totally distortet signal. By the way, the drums sound more clean too on the plain recording, because I chained it wrong on the other one. The drums got the YYZ effect .. 😛

Before Brexit, you could do local deals and ship to friends in or from England. Now customs and VAT makes those deals impossible. Still waiting for my gold replacement bridge for exactly the BB of the recording. In customs for more than a week now somewhere at an airport...

The same with spare parts from the UK for me... Brexit sucks!

So here a quick and dirty recording of the same lick with the BB1000MA in P mode without the YYZ BB1000MA P mode with YYZ pedal BB1000MA plain without effect pedal

For example ... I adore Mark King ( who does not) and love the look of his Status signature basses. I was more than one time about to order one. But I did own several (other) Status basses and it's sound just did not fit my needs. I did rarely play other basses with more comfortable necks but the basses just don't rock in my very own opinion. The natural tone of a graphite bass is just not rock n roll. Of course you can throw some synh / distortion effects on it and make it work somehow... but a beautiful wooden growl... 4000 Pounds but it does not do that growl 🙂

I know... it was just a joke. I think, playing an artist model is one thing, doing it all exactly ike that star guy... makes only sense if you (try to) play like he does and if you are in playing exactly his kind of music. Because everyone has his way of playing and the world's best bass players set ups won't fit my playing.
