  1. I've no idea what 'Taranis' means but apparently this was a bass designed for metal. Not that I used it for that and it sounded great for the more mellow stuff i've been using it for of late, very woody! EDIT Just found that Taranis is a Celtic god of thunder. The four string variant was tuned BEAD.
  2. This is really rather lovely but we just haven't clicked. It's a Warwick Corvette Taranis 5 string in Burgundy Red. The swamp ash body has a sand blasted finish exposing the grain which may or may not be to your liking! The neck is laminated from some beautiful ovangkol. It's very manageable 8.8ilbs/3.99kg. Usual Warwick build quality all round. Large pole piece MEC pickups, jazz at the neck and MM at the bridge. the bridge pickup has a series/single(neck coil)/parallel switch so combined with a pick up pan control and two band eq you get a lovely range of sounds. The Volume control has a push pull active/passive switch. A few scars on the body and one small ding on the back of the neck by the octave on the low side. There's a reasonable gig bag with it. I can't post so a meet or collect is best. I travel about a fair bit with my work so we may be able to sort out something.
  3. Price dropped to £900, fed up of bashing my shins on the flight case in the hall!
  4. I've had this a few years but barely used it. It's always lived in a flight case when not in use and is pretty much good as new. 16 mic/line inputs, loads of outputs and fx built in, more routing options than you can shake a stick at. Comes with an Apple Airport Express wifi router to give you remote operation with tablet or mobile. A big old lump so collection or meet up only please.
  5. This is my contribution. A Patrick Eggle I bought a couple of years ago in a bit of a state. Very beaten up and preamp was u/s. Fitted a Glockenklang preamp and got it up and running. then decided that I didn't like my Yamaha fretless 5 anymore so I defretted this. Stripped all the finish off apart from the headstock. I filled th fret slots with maple veneer and oil finished the back of the neck. The scruffy black finish was stripped to reveal a nice piece of ash. Sanded back to bare wood, stained into a nice teal burst and finished with gunstock oil. It plays beautifully and sounds fantastic!
  6. I bought this recently to control a few Source Audio pedals from a midi foot controller. In the end as I was using other midi devices on the board (and my amp) it was easier to just sit down and programme the controller manually with a pc. It's all there, all 5 trrs cables, psu and usb cable. I'll take £50 posted.

  7. Price dropped for the bank holiday weekend. Now £500. Five strings of glorious fretlessness for a monkey!
  8. Price dropped to £550 to shift it!
  9. My Yamaha TRB1005 fretless in natural. A very well made and finished instrument, two single coil with phantom noise cancelling coils and three band eq. Beautiful quilted maple (?) top and three piece neck. Just under 9lb 3oz in weight. 35" Scale length so the low B is very convincing! In very good condition, just a few nicks to the body and a couple of very shallow dings in the back of the neck, hardly noticeable really. It's in the East Mids so not too far from most places. I can chuck in a basic gig bag but I wouldn't be happy to post this. So a meet up or collection please.
  10. Still work in progress but then it's always work in progress.
  11. Never has the old adage "measure twice, cut once" been more appropriate. I bought this to replace the bridge on my Eggle Milan as it was a bit worn and grotty. I've put these on four strings before and it made a huge difference and improvement to the sound and feel of the bass. It did that and no mistake, however the string spacing (19mm on the Babicz) is just a gnat's too wide for the Eggle. I could almost get away with it and I played one gig with it on but just occasionally it felt like the strings were going to slip off the end of the frets. It's just as it came out of the packing with just a few finger marks and a bit of dust. Good as new. Two sets of mounting screws included, one set never used. https://www.fullcontacthardware.com/fch-5-string-bass-bridge if you're not familiar with them. Ah well, my gain your loss? I'll take £90 for it, posted to you.

  12. Someone give me a ton for this, my wife is starting to moan!
  13. A set of five Hipshot HB6C 1/2" ultralight tuners. Currently set to 4+1 (for a Stingray 5) but they are reversible so will work in any combination. They are in the shiny nickel finish. A tenner for Special Delivery or a meet/collect is poss. Thanks!
  14. Dropped the price to £60 to get rid!
  15. I bought this a couple of weeks ago in a great pedal board reorganisation. It's an amazing bit of kit but far, far too advanced for my requirements. I've got an LA Lady from S A now which is more than adequate for my needs. It's all boxed up with all the cables, stickers, leaflets and the little rubber feet. 9V psu included too. There's some 3M dual lock on the base but apart from that it is just as fresh as the day it was made. https://www.sourceaudio.net/ultrawave_bass.html I will post for a tenner (Special Delivery) or you're more than welcome to pick up or meet up.
  16. Dropped to £110, come on you know you want it?
  17. Price now dropped to £70 A few battle scars on this one but generally it's in very good condition and all working as it should. No packaging but will be very well packaged and meet up/collection could be arranged. A cracking little fuzz box but I've got a Source Audio pedal on the way which should do the job (and more) so this is surplus to requirements. The ability to mix the processed and dry signal on this unit is a crucial advantage and retains the bottom end which can disappear with lesser boxes.
  18. I've had this a few months and love it to bits but I've had a bit of a rethink on my pedal board so there is no room for it now. In immaculate condition with just a few tiny scratches and fingerprints. Dual Lock velcro on the bottom. Lovely sounding pedal and the fairy lights are very useful to keep you entertained when the guitar solo is dragging on too long. I'm sure I have the box for it somewhere but if not it will be very packed. Collection and meet up is fine too.
