  1. Piece of Me - what a great bass line - simple but effective!

Yes I'm never convinced by endorsements. Interestingly he seems to be playing the same white sparkly spector that he played on the tour for the first album.

    Gassing for a spector now...

  2. Saw Skid Row last night (without Sebastian unfortunately) and Rachel Bolan is still providing some ace low end. I love that Spector into Gallien-Krueger sound... Considering he is in his early 40's he looks younger than me.

He was one of my favourite players back in the day. Anyone else remember him?

The Monkey Business 'solo' that he did at Donington '92 is probably one of the main reasons I play bass!

  3. here's a slightly different setup of Neil's...

There seems to be blue-tack or similar around some of the knobs (e.g LS2 or BSW) to fix the settings. I've not seen this before...cunning.

  4. another vote for ibanez soundgear basses. By far the thinest necks i've played....

Bass collection or Tune basses are also pretty thin. Basically looking at late 80's or 90's metal/shred influenced designs would be your best bet. I'm not sure I'd agree with the comments on jazz basses. The width is pretty narrow yes but not that 'thin' by ibanez standards.

  5. Lost Prophets - back in the day.

I remember their van broke down on the way over from Wales to Sheffield so they got to the venue really late and were a bit peeved. They had all just got a wireless setup and Lee Glaze ended up having loads of problems and stormed off stage. Still very nice lads apparently - I was a bit scared to talk to them though..

I remember watching them from the side of the stage and thinking they're a cut above us (my band) and were definitely going somewhere!

Despite the bad rap it gets now those nu-metal years ('99 to '01) were good times... plus a lot of good UK bands too...

  6. Yamaha Fretless 5 String - Lined

    £200 including delivery. PENDING TRADE

In very good condition. Some very slight dings which i couldn't even photo and some slight tarnishing to the gold hardware. Otherwise as good as new. I bought it new in 98/99 for around £450. Yamaha soapbars and active circuit. Controls are vol, pot pan, treble and bass. Separate battery compartment. Maple finish on the back of the neck. Model number is RBX765A.

Great introduction to fretless. It has elites flatwounds on for that 'mwah' sound...

Reluctant sale but I have recently gained a daughter and upgraded to a modulus fretless at the same time!
