2. oh right. thats a bit odd but cheers for clearing that up
3. oh right can it? the back of it says minimum 4ohms
4. hi guys, i have a Tc electronic RH450 amp head which i am currently using with the RS410 cabinet. the head can handle anything above 4 ohms and the rs410 is 8 ohms. no problem there. im looking to add my other cabinet as well ( a custom made 4x12 cabinet) which is 4 ohms. would this be ok to run? ive never been to sure on ohm ratings.
5. Hi guys, recently ive been thinking about replacing the neck pickup in my Jaguar bass ( currently a jazz style Pup) and putting a P bass style one in. is there anything i should know before doing it? especially as there is a active eq on the top horn which maybe a problem. any input would be appreciated ! even if its with recommended P/j pickup configs (going for a vintage pop sound) this is myy band so this is style im going for . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuMCEhZ4eIw
6. For sale is a 4x12 Bass / Guitar cabinet This amp is loaded with 4: CELESTION BN12-300S BASS GUITAR SPEAKER 12" 4ohm 300watt which racks up a massive 1200W of power. i have never turned my amp head up above 3 at gigs!! the bass cabinet is in full working order, but cosmetically, could do with some TLC I have used this bass many times live and i have never had any problems with it. This cabinet was made by a friend of mine who has had alot of experience making cabinets, and built this to my specification. The reason for sale, is because i no longer need a bigger cabinet (this Cab is 72x72x35 cm) but only weighs 3st 12lbs The amp is collection only from Hereford, Uk unless you arrange a courier Looking for £340 ONO

8. anyone got some sheet music for classica bowed songs like this? would love to try and learn some of this on double bass or any suggestions of videos i should check out? im pretty new to the classical world but i love a good bowed double bass ;]
9. oh really? thats a ball ache. its been this way for maybe 4 months or more.. just finally getting around to sorting it. is there nothing i can fill it with? the bass is only about 450 quid anyway so i would rather avoid giving it to a luthier
10. hi there, i have recently discovered a crack in the headstock of my EUB... and i was hoping that the people of bass chat could help me out. the only time i can think this could have happened, is when the bag for the double bass snapped and caused it to hit the floor but anyway anyone know of anything to put in there to prevent it getting worse? the bass plays fine but sometimes when it tune the wood makes a horrible noise that gets picked up by my amp..... here are some photos

12.
I've played both and I preferred the jap Fender 70's model. Much more punch, really clear sounding and the neck was beautiful to play. No problems with the grounding or bridge on it either (which for me to say that about a Fender BBOT is rare) The american special one felt like it had been built in a bit of a hurry if you know what I mean? The pickups weren't great, the finish wasn't great and the neck didn't feel too nice. I really did prefer the jap 70's model. Go for that, it's a much wiser investment
thanks mate thats really helped!
13. yeah i was instantly drawn to the japanese one ( from what websites ive seen the bass on it's said jap each time) as i prefer the looks of it, unfortunately i cannot try the bass's as i live in the middle of no where in england and a 300 mile drive would be required... and then theres the hunt for finding both bass' ... i think i will have to go with the jap and stick a badass 2 on there so the hype around american fenders doesn't always make them better.
14. Hi yall ! as the title suggests, im a bit torn between a couple of fender p bass's. im spending around 800 ish on one, and ive found the Fender 70's precision (japanese) ( http://www.dv247.com...ic-white--88570 ) and Fender American Special Precision Bass http://www.dv247.com...ic-white--82145 Any opinions?I love the look of the 70's p bass and love the lighter coloured neck, but it being a jap bass (like my jaguar) i can imagine it needing more work (bridge and grounding )
15. Hi guys im looking to mic up my bass amp for home studio use as i heard it sounds better for distorted tones compared to DI. set up is Jaguar bass > pedalboard > tc electronic RH450 > 4x12 cab > "MIC" > Apogee ONE > Macbook Pro Any Ideas? price range kinda up to 150 but might go over

18.
Have you tried pickguardian? http://www.pickguardian.com/pickguardian/Fender.html Do you mean the gold anodized like on the 50's precisions?
yeah thats what i fell in love with :]
19. i would advise people not to go for a swollen pickle. allthough i found THE nicest fuzz tone on it if you make any slight adjustment to the amp or bass it seems to drastically change the charectoristics of the pedal =/ its really weird i spoke to Brian Cook of Russian Circles about why he didnt use his any more and he said exactly the same. a good pedal if you use it in the studio i guess... not for live application IMO
20. anyone know of where i can get hold of a replacement pickguard for a fender jaguar? i cant see that fender stock them so possibly a custom job... wouldnt mind a gold 1 actually :]
