4.
A huge thank you for the pic' but where the heck did you find that image? I searched for ages trying to find a reference and though I knew it was genuine (inlays aren't easy/cheap to replicate) I could not find a picture no matter how hard I Googled. I even contacted the Helloween fansite for info and not a jot! Either way it's a bass I intend to use and I struggled to justify why I had a great big angry pumpkin on the front I notice the pic shows the bass with the original bridge, I'd love to know when the pic was taken to identify when the bridge was replaced. Do you have any links or other pics of the bass? Cheers John
I first saw your bass in the East Preamp section, and before any reading about its previous owners I was sure I already saw that bass somewhere. Then I had the confirmation reading this topic. As an old Helloween fan - and still fan of their Keys Keeper's albums - I remember I saw that bass browsing metal music magazines when I was a teen. Also I remember Markus Grosskopf name in a 1998 Warwick catalogue I've got just before buying the Thumb 6BO I used to have till last september. All I now did, was to browse the official Helloween website photogallery, to the oldest pictures pages.....and then I found it. HERE is the gallery section from which I took the picture, but you can find there are still many to browse. I'm afraid this is the only picture where the Pumpkin Streamer Stage clearly appears. If you take a look to the last picture in the LIVE IN THE UK GALLERY you can slightly see its back. Also a pink Streamer has been used those years. Unfortunately I don't know anything more about this bass, but I'm glad you appreciate the picture
5. Haaa, found it. Markus Grosskopf in Japan, 1988 Many old Helloween fans would kill you for that bass...and I'm not that safe, too Many other old Helloween fans would kill for what you've done to that bass.....still not safe enough
6. Ok, ok...more than one month later and after many refused trade requests it's still closed into the hardcase and unused under the bed. Reasonable money offers or trades are accepted. some shots HERE
7.
Muzz Skillings was great with that band..... wonder what he is doing now? I love the lack of overdubbed rhythm guitar in the guitar solo in "cult of personality" on that album... you can really hear the groove & space.... & then the bass filling it out a bit...tasteful! & those fills on "open letter..." prick my ears up everytime!
Muzz was great, but Doug has been the perfect replacement......maybe TM Stevens could have been the right bass player for Living Colour, either for tone and hair and clothing style @bottomfeed: Muzz has rejoined the band for a private gig at a Jack Dejohnette's wife party, due the unavailability of Doug who was in London that day. He currently plays with Ted Mason's band Blue Mockingbird. Wikipedia is the law
8. Broken Hearts, from 1st Living Colour "Vivid" album. Muzz Skillings on bass
9. @Largo: Of course I meant EUR....1388EUR is what I meant ;-) @Rumble: Conditions in Italy aren't good as you're supposing they are. Actually, the life cost in UK is definitely higher than Italian one, but the selling price for this bass here in Italy is the same I posted here. I can't define the price in function of what happens in The Bass Centre (the same for The Gallery in Camden, or BassCentral or even Thomann), as long as the right price cannot be defined in function of an eBay auction. Last year I sold my Warwick 6BO to a happy Bassworld user, while Italian bass players were complaining a high price. This time it's upside down :-) Concerning my opinion, both times the price was the right one. I can negotiate it, of course, but I'm not interested on giving away this bass to a low price, so it can wait many weekends here in my room without playing even a note. Rumble, if you love my country you're too far away from the way I love yours. It's 3 years in a row (since I have a job and I can afford it) that I come to England for vacancies. This year I have a house to build and just a week holiday in mid-august, so the streak is break. Bump, by the way! :-D
10. I feel more comfortable here: http://www.thebassgallery.com/Laklandpage.html and here: http://www.basscentral.com/lakeland_usa/sk...ryl_jones.shtml (mind the shipping and customer fees) believe me, conditions are excellent I know I couldn't be the cheapest way. I'm trying to sell it at a decent price for both sides.
11. Hi all, my Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones 5 strings is now for sale. It's a very nice one, but I actually don't need a 5 strings similar to the Jazz Bass Re'75 that I own (same woods, similar pickups and electronics). White ash body, maple neck and fingerboard with white block inlays. It comes with extra tortoise and black pickguards (non original). Mint condition! OHSC with a little crack on a side. I'd like so much to visit UK and deliver it by myself, such as I did last September with my Warwick, but this time it seems harder to me to do it. You’re pretty welcome to come and try here Looking for reasonable offers. No longer open to trades Shipping fees are 39 to 44 GBP http://upload9.postimage.org/233592/photo_hosting.html http://upload9.postimage.org/233637/photo_hosting.html http://upload9.postimage.org/233656/photo_hosting.html

13. Living Colour - I like Muzz Skillings so much, but Doug Wimbish is my fav Dave Matthews Band - Stefan Lessard (but IMHO the top musician is the drummer Carter Beauford, there) Jamiroquai - Stu, Nick, Paul or whoever you want
14. I see, I see I hope to have the same fun I had 'till the last log.
15. ...and after many and many weeks I noticed my old BW account was cleared from the net....I should drink more coffee! By the way, I'm here too...
