Let's get it Started - BEP
Me too -- today! -
An afternoon spent practising Larry Graham riffs wasn't wasted after all.
Actually, just getting down 'If you want me to stay' and improvising around the riff was all I did but it actually felt like I was making music rather than just playing notes and joining the dots.
I haven't been playing that long and this was sounding pretty much like the funk coming out of my speakers.
Just had to tell someone. None of my real friends are that interested -
Bought Terry's LD150 last week and received it today (I requested this week cos of holiday stuff). Obliging, courteous and obviously well-respected here for many genuine reasons.
Even got some firewood kindling into the bargain!
Thanks again Terry. -
Hi. To be honest I first heard him only last year on a Sky Arts rerun of Clapton's Crossroads Fest from 2007 (I think) and was quite blown away by that version of Gravity he did.
I now have his album Continuum and rarely listen to it.
I should try to live with it a bit more as I'm sure it'll reward. -
Cheers. Good point!

Hi. Just bought a Line 6 LD150 off here in the hope that when I do start playing with other people it'll be a decent enough size to get me through that and also any small gigs we may do.
Now, the LD15 practice amp it'll be replacing will be ideal for my son who plays a Bronco.
Is it daft to sell the 15 given that I'm not likely to get that much for it? Or should I recover £30 at best and allow him to plug into the 150 which will be kept downstairs?
I know, a daft question really and one that I shouldn't need help with but given my history of hoarding/selling things off for next to nowt, I need it.
Cheers. -
You have funds!
Cheers. -
Looks like I'll keep both then. Change on a seasonal basis.

Some slow moving reptilian incident when you were a kid?
Me too... applying the tort pick guard is part of my therapy .
Thanks for the 'nice bass' comment. It's starting to get a bit of wear now, the nitro is thinning nicely. -
Aaahhhh... spanner in the works!
Thought we had a unanimous verdict here. -
Thanks people! The Honey blonde looks paler for some reason than it does in the flesh, but i agree, after ogling the Fender website for a while (actually weeks) i decided to change its appearance a bit.
I think with a maple fret a black pickguard would look good. -
before:
after... genuine fender Jazz pickguard in Tort.
What do you reckon? Honest answers please! -
If you want it, why don't you buy it
God, i would love to. My wife would kill me though. I've been wanting a Squier CV just like yours for a while but that's around half the price second-hand. If it's still for sale in October I may may able to do something!
Best of luck though and if i can't sleep you may receive a PM in the middle of the night! -
Gorgeous.... want it, want it...
have a free bump on me. -

Time Is Running Out -- Muse
Started with it yesterday. My posture must be f***ed because I can barely play it sitting down, which is how I spend 99% of my time with the bass. -
Pics up later. Imagine an 'as new' Superchamp XD, even with cardboard signs on, never really played that much. Never left the house. I don't need an amp this good.
£165 collected from North Yorkshire, will deliver up to 40 mile radius.
Cheers. -
Or would be willing to trade for an Ashdown EB 12 180 or Five Fifteen Mini rig
OR ---
Squier Classic Vibe Precision in Fiesta Red
Money either way depending upon goods/condition etc.
Cheers. -
Hi. Unfortunately I'm up north, near Teesside!
There's roughly £110 difference in the new prices of these and mine is mint.
I don't need to sell, but was wondering about releasing some cash to go toward new bass combo.
£70?
Does that seem fair? -
That's it really. Didn't have time or money to try anything but would've spent the day in there given the chance.
Great shop.
When I have a grand burning a hole, I'll be back. -
I have a barely used (still has card board bits on it) Superchamp XD which I'd consider part-exing for either a Fender 600 Champion or Vox AC4TV.
Cheers. -
hi tom. Do I remember correctly, did you have a red Classic Vibe Precision for sale recently, or am I getting mixed up?
If so, is that still for sale?
Cheers.
