Hi. I'm in the north east of England but would drive up to 50 miles or if you need it posting I would use a reputable courier and we could negotiate on price. Cheers
4. Cyrene

SOLD

Bump for price drop. £270 Hell of a bass (and case) for the money
5. Aahhh. That's what he meant! Well, if Old Horse falls through, they're Tom's, then yours. I coulda sent them back to Thomann but it'd be days before they refund me.
6. what sort of spark plugs should i be getting then?
7. Sorry, not getting my notifications... hi Tom. Not sure what you mean by "bollox"...

9. Just arrived this morning from Thomann but I'm pissed that I didn't go fr the gold anodized to match my '50s pickguard They cost me £33 posted and I haven't even taken them out the bags yet. £30 posted in UK.
10. Cyrene

SOLD

Wouldn't mind moving this on as it's getting played less frequently. it is in near A1 condition and of course I will post more pics tomorrow if it's brighter. Comes with near mint Stagg hard case and is strung with flats. The bass gets great reviews. Sold
11. The Shure 535 are amazing. I've just sold some! But I'd worry about using them in situations where they aren't your 'primary' concern (as in, your bass is). They may get dropped, snagged or sat on and they ain't that robust.
12. Struggling with this one... are there some subtle variations on the chords? Any help would be great.
13. Hi. Welcome from the home of The Chapman Family and Chris Rea...
14.
Well a week has gone by, so im asuming she couldnt get her head around this one ?
she wouldn't have a problem no, but that's my memory for not asking her... soz! You still need it?
15.
A P bass only needs 5 frets
It's a good job! I can barely get my hand up around the 12th because the heel of the body sticks out so much.
16.
That is a really great present. Your son is very lucky indeed, in both getting such a present, and having a father like you.
ha! Cheers! I do my best. We don't have a great deal coming into the house and for years I got by on part-time jobs just so I could look after Joe when my wife went back to work. That was a lean time; but long walks and many, many hours playing with Hot Wheels and Lego seem to have paid off! He's a great kid and already a very talented 6 string player.... now, only to make it clear that he doesn't set the rhythm....
17.
How much did that set you back? I want one of those so badly that I've hidden a black one behind a couple of Fenders in my local music shop, in the hope that nobody finds it and I can buy it after Christmas.
It was £166 after the instant rebate! Most places (Soundslive, DV247, Dolphin etc.) have that deal. The Jag is a short scale passive one with a J and P set up. There's a good review here and those over at TB love them.
18.
'twill end in tears, I'm afraid. He wanted a Jaguar XJ...
Actually, he recited his top three all-time-if-money-were-no-object xmas list on Saturday and one was a Fender Jaguar in Olympic white and the other was a Fender Jag bass.
19.
wicked... hes a lucky dude, and your a great dad....
ha, not quite! I sold his Bronco on here earlier in the year!!!
20. got him a silver one of these:
21.
Thanks, they look pretty good! I don't mind them being too big as long as it's not like: I'd get some more IEMs but I've always managed to break/lose them somehow! I get paid for a tour tomorrow, so I might be able to increase my budget a bit
I happen to be considering selling mine... Bought my son a Jaguar SS bass today.... They're 3 weeks old. Case, box and extras all mint. they are very good like
22. Shure SH940. Big and a bit higher than your price range but secondhand poss. I just got some from US for £150. Isolation is good but nowhere near as good as good IEMs. Sound quality excellent.
23. still waiting for pics bump!
