  1. this makes me want to just save up for a monaco!
  2. Yeah the price is great. Only thing stopping me is I'm on the south coast and I have 2 other cabs I need to shift first ideally.. it's mighty tempting though! I'm really close to barefaced and had a super twin before so not sure whether to save up and get a big baby 3 or get something like this
  3. Could it take a higher power speaker without having to change the horn?
  4. how sensitive / loud does it get? also whats the vertical treble dispersion like from that tweeter?
  5. I have a super twin I would trade, PM me 🤘
  6. Hi there, still available? Also what's the weight - cheers 😊
  7. Luck of the draw and thanks for Google autofill!
  8. Yeah oc2 is still on my board as well, it's it's own thing. The overload switch when the tone is lower is great with a filter or just to get the gnarly synth tone, I like the tone higher up without the overload switch, seems to sound more like the criminally underrated Aguilar octamizer with the octave tone up, but with the functionality advantages of the sub switch with the independent volume. So that coupled with the oc2 doing the solo -1 sound does everything for me. I had a FTelettronica Tetractave in its place before but it's more of an oc2/mutron only with the sub solo - amazing pedal tho, especially for the money.
  9. I noticed there weren't any videos online yet documenting the changes to the Octabvre design, so i made a quick and dirty video to show the sounds.
  10. looking to get a small DI to hide under the board, passive or active? Im looking at the radial stagebug SB1 and SB2... Any thoughts?
  11. I should add this is part of a plan that avoids me spending money I dont have and making use of what I've got, a novel idea... Instead of buying a bassrig pedal to split my signal to FOH and my amp I'm planning to run out of the hx stomp panned and merged a high cut only on the R out, then route this to my trusty mxr bass preamp with the XLR out. Then the unaffected L out can go to amp (I can also bypass the hx stomps global eq, or just use it for specific room to room tweaks.
  12. wow great info, thanks all!
  13. Does anyone know which cab sim model in the HX stomp sounds closest to a barefaced super twin? Pretty flat response up until around 4k where it trails off slowly. None of the usual mid scoop of a lot of modern cabs but not as dark as vintage ones. cheers!
  14. What's the weight out of interest?
  15. thanks guys, "just a hint of breakup at the highest dynamic levels" is exactly how I set the tone hammer, so SVT might be the way to go. one last question would be which of the cab sims would be most similar to a barefaced super twin? I'd assume the ampeg as barefaced's website says its designed to sound like an 8x10 in terms of frequency range but flatter response overall, would the fender cab sim be too different? I dont really want to send a drastically different signal to FOH compared to what I'm getting on stage, at the moment i just tell the tech to hi -cut to around 5k and that seems to do the trick.
