1. Hey gang

I'm deciding which would be the best option for me..
I would be using this live, ofcourse. But I think the Pro seems far more sleek and just looks completely better.
However, since I will be using this live to trigger effects on/off and access different amp models.. do you think the Live one would be far more suitable? or would the pro one be great too?

However, I'm thinking with the Pro model, I cant change effects between songs, it would have to go on at the start and off at the end of every song as it isnt foot-switch operable like the Live version.

Any thoughts?

Also, does anyone know if the Live version has the options to record, like the Pro model does?

2. This is a pretty good deal i reckon.
It would be a shame if someone doesnt grab this up soon.. it isnt that often someone is selling a full sized rig here in one sale..

This will easily fill out a medium sized local venue, and still be LOUD

Marshall are reliable amps, so buy with confidence that you have a few more years left in this kicking machine!

3. hey guys, I posted this in the off topic section, but I think it could be put here too, as it is after all a recorded process.

so, my band needs backing tracks live
we have made them, and we have panned them the way we need it
backing track + click (left)
backing track (right)
so the drummer gets the left ear, and the audience gets the right ear

however, we dont know what equipment we'll need to play this live at a venue.
we dont know if its just simple to use a lead into the P.A, so can anyone help?

all we have atm is a stereo phono lead with jack adapters, but we think we might need a D.I or two for each stereo channel, is that correct?

any input would be great!

4. ahh nice one mate

I was just wondering because I dont particularly like 115's. especially on their own. too boomy and thick for what i want.
well, i guess a second 4x10 would never hurt anyone!

but, would it be worth it?
my amp atm is a 300w output, but the 410 I have with it atm is 250w (I think) so would adding another 410 even be worth it?

5. what would be the more punchier cab?

im looking into getting another extension onto my cab, atm I used a 4x10.
to me, though, 115's sound too boomy on their own. I use a 115 with a 210 at my rehearsal place and it sounds alright, but would a 410 and a 115 sound better than two 410's?

any input would be EXCELLENT!

6. hey guys

just wondering, is it okay to use a 12v PSU with my 9v effects pedals?
im looking to power my Digitech Bass Synth and my Korg Pitchblack off of the 12v PSU and my Big Muff will have the reliable battery in it

the big muff lasts about 6 months off of a full battery whereas the Digitech Bass Synth lasts for about an hour, maybe 2.. so I really need a PSU for that

will it damage the pedals? effect my tone by having too much power? or any negative effects on my sound? or the pedals itself?

if so, i'll have to stop being a stingy git and buy a proper 9v PSU!!

7. yeahh.. i'll draw up a diagram and see exactly how im going to do this before I go ahead and buy something like this..
the first one you shown me doesnt have silent switching - it bangs when you switch channels. so I'll have to invest in a more quality one if I do go for something like this.

well thanks a lot for your help mate! means a lot.

8. so i literally just plug my bass into one of the inputs, and then have one output to one amp and and the other output to the other amp?

is that really all there is to it? and also that will not damage the amp at all, will it?

thanks so much for your help so far mate!

9. ohh, i see. okay i'll refer it as dual amping, then!

and well I just bought a korg pitchblack.. so it would be pretty silly to buy a TU-2 just for that.. do you know of anything else thats specially designed to dual amp that you could refer me to?

and yeahh i was thinking that, as the blend option on the pedal is there.. although i thought it did have 2 outputs, but i guess not hehe.

10. Hey guys

Just thought I'd run this question by you lot first before I do anything silly!

I'm looking into bi-amping..
I want one amp to run my clean tone, and one amp to run my effects

now, what do I need to do this?
Do I just need a line splitter? such as the Boss LS-2? (is that a good enough pedal to do its job?) as it has a blend option, or is it a little bit more complicated than that?

Please, any replies would be GREAT!

11. Hey gang!

I'm looking to get rid of this little friend of mine.
It was technically my 2nd bass, but I see it as my 1st. I had one beforehand but I gave up after a week, and this is one Is tuck with for about 6 months.. until I got my Yamaha RBX A2.

anyways, enough of my life story!

Heres a link to some pics I took earlier.
http://s748.photobucket.com/albums/xx123/andrewgeorge1991/
I got pics of the body, fingerboard, headstock, the serial e.t.c.

It has a 3/4 scale, not a full neck scale - so its perfect for beginner bassists, especially at a young age.

all in all, its a nice bass. it has a few scratches on the back from like jean buttons and belts, and a 1mm thick 1cm long loss of paint on the bottom (it isnt chipped, just the paint has come off slightly) and the E tuning peg (the machine head, not the bolt on part of it) is a little 'wobbly' but that can be fixed im sure, but im unsure how to do this.
But other than the slight scratches its in new condition, just has a few finger print marks on the surface on the pictures which can be cleaned off with polish easily.

I live in the midlands area, Leicester to be exact.

I'm looking for £60 for this., since it is pretty new condition!
I can ship it (at a cost).. I still have the box that I bought it in (from sound control) but a pick-up would be more suitable.. if it cant be pick-ed up then PM me and we'll talk shipping costs!

thanks gang, I hope to hear from someone, atleast!

12. im interested..

since the pro's are rack mounted, its ideal to have them. also the fact that they dont require tube maintenance e.t.c..
however, what are the pro's and con's? of having either?

just a little discussion I wouldnt mind you lot talking about, for my own educational purpose.
