1. Alright lads.

Selling up these cymbals, need some spare dollar!

the pic I have has JUST been taken before this post, and wont be used by me ever again, so rest assured they will be in this condition.
They are in good quality, as the picure shows, and they have some polish stains on the ride, but I will give them a quick polish down before they are sold.
Had them for about a year, not used too extensivily at gigs, pretty much just for practises. There is no chips/cracks or anything so they still sound pure.

Asking price is £150, with the Zildjian cymbal bag. collected - From Leicester, near Beaumont Lee's.
Shipping will be an extra £10.

Heres the pic, below.

2.
haha cool a muse tribute band. I thought bliss sounded really good, great bass playing too although i thought it was mixed down a bit low sadly. What are the other 3 songs then?
we hoped to get them mixed by my friend this week, but his friend was sick on his macbook pro and it it doesnt work anymore, so we'll have to mix it ourselves eventually within college hours.. hopefully 2 weeks per song I should imagine.

3. my tribute band have been in the studio for a while. got 3 more tracks to come up in the studio. but heres a link to bliss on our myspace :)

check it out.

4. By band I mean like a ring band, not an actual band, ofcourse!

Anyways, here is a video I found, you can see like a silver band on his thumb, has anybody know of this before and what different could it make, entirely?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReNypYWA6hg

5. ah damn :\
yeahh it may be due to the youtube quality, I have the actual song on my iPod so I can hear it very well. the bass on that is mixed above the rest of the song, so i thought youtube might be able to hack it but i guess not :).

well, if it helps, im looking at parts 1:03-1:30
in that part you can hear the bass a bit more clear, even on Youtube due to other instruments and overdubs dropping out.

and Doddy, they are all from massive bands within the post-hardcore style, probably some of the biggest bands in that style, to be honest.

6. So where do I go?
To the best place on Earth. BassChat!!

This is one of my favourite new bands.. they are a newly formed Supergroup. Probably not well known yet as they are a pretty underground style, but I really would love to know what Bass Effect anybody would say the bass uses in parts of this song..
Im thinking some sort of OD but im not too sure.
Wondering if I can get a really similar sound through my Sansamp Driver..

7. Hey guys

So my mate wants to raise some money.. He was going to sell his Gibson Les Paul Custom, but he said it cost him 1.4k so he reckons he'll keep it.
He is however, wanting to sell his Epiphone, it had been gigged but it is in great condition.
Its the one on the right in this picture.
http://www.canadianmusician.com/oneadmin/_...piphoneJuno.jpg

He also has a Marshall 250DFX and a Vox VT50..

Now, prices.
remember, this is just a feeler to see if anybody would be interested in them at this price..
Gibson Epiphone+Hardcase: £500 inc. P&P
Marshall 250DFX: £220 inc. P&P
Vox VT50: £120 inc. P&P
You are also free to chip £20 off of the price of any of these if you are willing to pick it up from Leicester yourselves.

The vox is in great condition, but the marshall has a small scuff of the front above the controls of the amp.

reply here or PM me with any interest and i'll pass it on..

8.
No because she already refunded me. I'm not out of pocket I just really want the pedal! :)
mate, that pedal is legally yours.. thats actually so stupid..
I REALLY wish you didnt accept the refund!! (or was it not optional?)

Just like in a shop, if they get the price tag wrong, they HAVE to legally sell it to you at that price.. my friend got a portable HD for £50 which was labelled £49 instead of £99, the shop made the error and they said it was an error but they said they do have to sell it at that price.
That person missing a 1 at the front of the price tag is stupid, before making a £150 sale who WOULDNT check all the details are right? and im sure eBay tells you themselves to check the details are 100% correct before it is listed anyhow.. but at the end of the day eBay are a business, they got paid £3.50 and 21p listing fee for the user - thats all they care about.. they got paid.. they will always say its up to you and the seller.. with any dispute (evne paypal) they will point you in the right direction, and then it is pretty much up to you and the seller..
since you have been refunded already, there is nothing more you can do other than leave feedback, or maybe even haggle it and say you can get the law involved as it is a breach of a buyer/seller contract and they will crap themselves and make the sale via other means like bank transfer.. thats not a nice thing to do - but neither was it what the seller did to you.

9. If your in a tribute band, and want to play Leicester, then let me know.
I can get us a venue booked out, and we'll do a tribute night at our local venue.

I'm in a Muse tribute band, so we'd definitly needs to keep the progressive rock feel there.

We'd need 3 bands I reckon..
1 will need a short 30 mins set (maybe 45)
2 will need a long 60 mins set (one of which being us)

If you want to get on the bill with us, then give me a message back here, with:-
*Your availability
*How long you can play for - & if you'd be willing to do 30 mins
*How many fans you think you can pull to the gig (be honest).
You must be able to promote via Facebook, and we will also talk about how the money gets thrown around in PM's so its more private.

Heres a link to our youtube account.

I look forward to what bands reply!

10. 1m is a BIT too much, though, hehe. I'm more after say 30cm, maybe 50cm max..
I like to be really tidy I have a bit of OCD you see.. I dont like bits of cables all over the place.

11. Anybody know a good, reliable site that sells these cheap?
mine are all like, 10cm long and only just reach the pedals I have that are far away from my brick.. So I need some cheap, longer ones that I know are certain wont break.

Anybody know a website with these? preferable right angled, I might add.. Right Angled leads are just so much more useful for everything as they dont take up extra space and can bend around corners easier.

12.
Well if u could help me arrange postage as i have never done this before i would happily send u the bass £250 inc postage assuming postage isnt too much.
you could get a courier for around £20 easy. Maybe less as this bass is REALLY light.

Just make sure its secure in the base, and padded well on the outside, so put the case in a slightly bigger box (not too big.. maybe 3cm bigger) and pad it really well with good bubble wrap all the way in.

Wrap the bubble wrap around the hardcase first, tho, and then tape it down and then put it in the box.

13. The Shed in Leicester
Its a pretty good venue, you only get 50% of the door money but its a good venue.

It is a great venue overall, it has an first level and a downstairs.. they have big bands on upstairs and then also acoustic acts downstairs or metal bands, as metal bands like the sort of feel of being in the downstairs bit.
Upstairs has i'd say 150 capacity.. and downstairs maybe 60 or so.

My only concern is the sound tech, he does a TERRIBLE job half of the time. We've got a gig there tonight, for our Audition.. so im not looking forward to the bit of having him in charge of our FOH sound.. but what can you do?

The Sumo in Leicester is also pretty good, its a bar with an outside section for chilling and then you go inside for warmer chilling, and then downstairs is another bar with the stage next to it. its an underground feel so its really dark and deemy!
but its a bit cold there, as behind and above the stage behind the wall is a river, so the river makes the room a bit chilly especially when your on stage but its a nice atmosphere to have all the different things in 1 bit. You get a back-stage sort of area but its pretty tacky but its great hhe.

14. Hey guys, just thought i'd post this here incase anybody wanted a gander!
I was silly and put the mic right in front of the drums, so it muffles from time to time but its an alright vid for a band practice!

I dont know how to embed on this site so I'll just have to post a link hehe

15. I know its not eBay, but its pretty much the same thing.

I figured some guitarists might be interested in this?
I dont know too much about guitars so forgive me if it isnt that good! hehe

16. I'm not too sure on the name of this part of the Bass, but I am just wondering if anybody has one they could give to me for free?
I am just about to by my first Jazz Bass on Friday, and I am wondering if anybody has gotten the part I would like, in Black. The stock colour is Silver, it goes over the volumes/pan/eq controls.

Following that, I would also need a black scrate plate, too. anybody know someplace that does them cheap? I cant really ask for two free things, especially since this bit would cost quite a bit hehe.

any info would be great :)
thanks

17. tbh.. I think Behringer bass amps are pretty good, well, at least the one I play through at my local rehearsal rooms

its a pretty sweet 4x10 unit, i must say.. altho the 'ultrabass' option on the head is a bit OTT but i think thats just to impress people tbh hehe.

18.
can you do that? think i might have to look at getting a tu-2
I think so
I was told by a friend before that Boss pedals are made especially to power off of eachother.

but I dont know for sure.
