  1. The reason I ask is I've got one with a 308 chip but I'm looking to shift it, I want to price it realistically but don't want to give it away if I'm sitting on hidden treasure. I had no idea about the different chips etc until I started looking into the value of it yesterday.

  3. Cheers for the info! I guess what I'm really asking is are any of them more valuable than the rest? The eBay listing that said about the 308 chip appeared to sell for £135 but any others I've seen have been around the 40 quid mark, it doesnt seem like the 308 ones are really that rare though, so has a fool simply been parted from their money?
  4. Hiya! I'm selling my Boss GEB-7 bass EQ pedal, good condition and I'll gladly chuck in a fistful of 9v batteries too if it sweetens the deal. £50 takes it, I'd prefer cash on collection from Norwich (close to the airport) but I will post at the buyer's expense. Any questions or requests for more photos please just ask. Cheers! Matt
  5. Oh yeah, and also using the code on the pots to date the unit - does that count for anything?
  6. Hello folks I'm just after a bit of advice on the subject of Pro Co Turbo Rat pedals; are any of them actually rare and desirable or are they all much of a muchness? I've done a little digging, one eBay listing was bragging about the "Motorola LM308N Chip" claiming it was highly sought after but then on another forum someone said all Turbo Rats are all pretty much the same. Anyone with a bit more knowledge on the subject care to enlighten me? Cheers, Matt
  7. Hiya! I'm selling my Electro Harmonix Little Big Muff Pi fuzz pedal, good condition & still boxed with a couple of DVDs. I haven't got a PSU to fit this so I can only assume that the power input works but I'll gladly chuck in a fistful of 9v batteries if it sweetens the deal. There's some velcro stuck to the underside at the moment but I'll gladly remove that and get rid of the glue if it's a problem. I'm asking £45 for it, I'd prefer cash on collection from Norwich (close to the airport) but I will post at the buyer's expense. Any questions or requests for more photos please just ask. Cheers! Matt
  8. Hiya! I'm selling my rather rare Hughes & Kettner Warp Factor distortion pedal, in good condition & comes with the official 13v PSU (it doesn't take batteries). It goes full on filthy and doesn't lose the bottom end thanks to the "Sub" button which makes it pretty bass friendly. £60 £55 £40 and it's yours, I'd prefer cash on collection from Norwich (close to the airport) but I will post at the buyer's expense. Any questions or requests for more photos please just ask. Cheers! Matt
  9. Hiya! I'm selling my mint condition Boss SYB-5 bass synth pedal, still boxed (box just has a little residue from a price sticker on the front but I can probably get that off if it really bothers you) £80 £75 takes it, I'd prefer cash on collection from Norwich (close to the airport) but I will post at the buyer's expense. I'll gladly chuck in a fistful of 9v batteries too if it sweetens the deal! Any questions or requests for more photos please just ask. Cheers! Matt

  11. But yeah, I'll try and get it out of the cab and take a picture soon - family life is just plain obstructive sometimes!
  12. It's jusy a straight tear in the paper cone, pretty much pointing straight to the centre. The real issue is that it's unresponsive to input, if it weren't for that I wouldn't have poked it to see if it was seized!
  13. I may have my wires crossed, it's possible they were talking about the 2x15 cabs. When you say it like that is does seem kinda redundant.
  14. I can't find where I read it now, but I think the argument was that the increase in bass wasn't worth if for the loss of clarity/highs/mid voicing.
  15. Thanks for the advice, it's good to have a few options!
  16. I read somewhere that the 15B was sometimes used as an upgrade in these cabs but wasn't actually as good as the 15L in terms of sound, but I'll certainly remember that you've got one if you might be prepared to part with it. I still need to get this one out and check it over properly, been on early starts all this week though so once the kids are in bed it's pretty much been time for sleep!
  17. I'll fish it out and have a proper look at some point though, just got to find the time!
  18. I hooked a speaker lead up directly to the back of it and got nothing, shouldn't be that it's been blown up as it's not been used since it last worked to my knowledge.
  19. Just going back a bit, does anyone have any suggestions on why the speaker is unresponsive to input? No point repairing the cone if it's still not going to go backwards and forwards.......
  20. Awesome, thanks for the input chaps! It's currently still for sale with the price negotiable, but I'll look into getting a repair on the driver in the meantime - it's got to be more attractive as working and complete, right?
  21. Hiya! I'm after a bit of guidance, if anyone knows their way around speakers your input would be gratefully received! So, I've got an old Mesa Boogie 1516b which has been in storage for a while and when I was checking it over ready to sell it the other day I discovered that the 15" speaker wasn't working, like an idiot I thought "I'll just see if the cone moves freely" and lets just say the paper didn't put up much of a fight. After that I opened the thing up properly and ran a cable direct to the back of the driver and it definitely seems to be a problem with the speaker and not the wiring, plus it's now got a tear in it. Not a great Saturday night. Anyway, my question is; is there anything I can try to A. diagnose the issue and B. repair the cone? Papier maché is all can think of unless it's actually replaceable. Failing that, what's a suitable replacement? I'm guessing that sensitivity would be important to match somewhat to keep a balance between the different sized speakers in the cab. Of course I'd like to spend as little on it as possible as I want to sell the thing rather then pour more money into it, but I don't want to stick any old junk in and make the cab undesirable and not be able to sell it full stop. What do all you clever people reckon?
  22. Hiya I've got a Mesa Boogie 1516b Bass Cab that I unfortunately need to shift, I can't find space for it at home so it really needs a new one. Showing it's age a bit but it sounds amazing, it's kinda like two cabs in one so you can bi-amp the top and bottom halves of it if you want to. **Unfortunately upon inspecting the cab it turns out the 15" speaker isn't working, I'm looking into options to repair/replace it but for now the cab is available in it's current state - price is obviously up for negotiation (I can't figure out how to alter the original post price on my phone!)** I'm based in Norwich near the airport, just let me know if you'd like to come have a look. Cheers!
  23. Cheers folks! I think that's generally a positive reaction to straplocks in general, and not a lot of negativity toward the flush ones. I think I'll fit them to my Jim Reed Jazz Bass too then..... :-)
  24. Just looking for opinions, I'm considering fitting flush mount Dunlop straplocks to my Warwick Corvette $$ (I like them, already got them on 3 of my basses) but not sure if they'd put anyone off if I ever came to sell the bass. Ta!
