1. Bought an Alesis iO Dock from Brian. He despatched it very quickly with all the original items including the box all in immaculate condition. Thanks Brian for a nice smooth transaction. He's a top guy to deal with!!

Aye, good old Shippers, up to his art again. You never know, he might have the last laugh and we'll be discussing his authentic knobs 50 years from now.

There's only one saving grace about this & that is that he's not destroying genuine Fenders to do it. Maybe in years to come Squiers will be worth more than Fenders because he will have single handedly wiped most of them out.

  3. Just received an Epiphone Explorer bass from Karl. He is an absolute pleasure to deal with. His description of the bass was extremely accurate & he made a point of messaging me to to make sure that I was aware of the ding on the edge that it has. If anything he overstressed the damage as it isn't that bad really but that just shows the kind of person he is - he'd rather not sell than have someone buy something they would not be happy with. The bass was extremely well packed both inside the box & inside the gig bag.

Thanks Karl for helping me obtain a bass I've always wanted at a very good price.

Mel managed to palm a load of unwanted stuff off onto me, for money. And pretty damned efficient about it she was, too, sneakily covering everything in bubble wrap and making sure it was delivered promptly. Oh yes.

Just watch out, that's my advice.

Yes she did to me too!! Seriously though you just have to read through some of the comments on this thread to know you are going to get a nice easy trading experience with Mel.

    Cheers Mel!

  5. I've just bought a Vintage Icon fretless from Ian. He's a fantastic guy to deal with & very helpful.
The bass duly arrived & was so well packed it took me almost half an hour to unpack.

Thanks Ian for a very pleasant deal!

I particularly like this bit: "i wouldn't personally recommend this guitar to someone who wants to learn how to play or anyone who plays guitar"

Why am I strangely attracted to it?

  7. Hi,

I think your bass is one of the Tropical era DB94's, they were built in Korea after Dean sold the company - I have a red one like this & a black DB95 5 string.
I love my two, the necks are fantastic & you can get a great range of sounds from them. There is one on eBay at the moment for £459 because the seller is under the mistaken impression that it's a custom shop build! It has the same flamed top as yours but in red. Great basses!

  8. Reluctantly I've decided to sell my 2006 MIM Fender Jazz which I bought earlier this year.

I've hardly used it since I bought it & I've now switched to short scale basses so it's not going to get used.

It's in very good condition with a few little marks here & there as you would expect. It has the 60th anniversary badge on the back of the headstock. It has newish d'Addarios fitted & has a nice low action. Sounds just like a Jazz should!

I've been selling off some of my collection of basses recently & I've now run out of boxes so I would prefer collection if possible, either from my home address near Kettering (weekends) or from my work address in Leicester (weekdays).

Please feel free to PM me with any questions.

(Thanks to Paul for allowing me to use your pics!)

  9. Now sold on eBay.

After much thought I've reluctantly decided to sell most of my gear as it's not getting used & I have some major expenditure coming up.

I've recently changed back to playing short scale basses & I looked for one of these for quite a while before finding a shop with stock left. It's a Limited Edition Epiphone EB0 in Pelham Blue (Epiphone Custom Shop sticker on the back of the headstock) that I bought about a month ago & I've only used it a couple of times at home since then so obviously it's in as new condition (if anyone wants pics taken I'll take some but it's as the stock photo's below). It's got a lovely deep tone as you would expect & is nice and easy to play so would make a great beginners bass or for a guitarist wanting to dabble with bass. My only reason for selling is that, unknown to me, my wife bought me a short scale Squier Jaguar for my birthday just after I had bought this.
I'll box it up if you want to arrange a courier to collect. Can be collected from Leicester or Desborough depending on day/time.
I'm looking for [s]£125[/s] NOW £115 (No offers at this price!!) which is a lot less than I paid for it a few weeks ago (sorry I've not got a case for it).

    Specs are:

Limited edition Pelham Blue Finish

Sidewinder Humbucker pickup

Chrome Hardware

30.5" Scale

1.50" Nut Width

Rosewood Fretboard

Mahogany Neck (Bolt on)

Dot Inlays

Mahogany Body
Any questions please feel free to PM me.

    Cheers
