Never let things get on top of you, our Pastor has been signed off with "mental and physical exhaustion" for the past 2.5 months, he has been signed off further and as this overlaps with his planned sabbatical, this means that we won't see him back in action until September (if at all).

I used a Tourtech lead on Sunday and didn't have a single issue, I'm just going to use them from now on.
I find it ironic that a Fender Squier bass doesn't like Fender leads 🤣

@TheGreek J&D call it Surf Green, probably because they can’t use Seafoam Green

I need to make some space and so I’m thinning the herd, I’m selling my Spector Performer 4 Blue Bass.
It’s a great bass to play and it’s done me proud. Over the years, I have replaced the tuners, the bridge and the original EMG SSD pickups have been replaced with a couple of MM style humbuckers (I haven’t got the EMG’s), the wiring has been changed to a 2 x Volume and 1 x Tone format, you can easily change it back.
There is a small flake of paint missing on the face of the body, it wasn’t knocked, the flake just fell off. The bass comes with a padded gig bag.

@Bigguy2017 I just checked the socket and it’s fine, I tried a few different leads and the results were surprising.
Fender and Klotz leads when plugged in, the jack plug wobbles a bit and it feels slightly ‘too thin’ for the socket, both of these had intermittent output and the sound kept dropping out 🤔.D’Addario, Roland and Tourtech leads on the other hand, have jacks that fit nice and snug in the socket and, they didn’t have any problems at all.
Turns out that different manufacturers leads have ever so slightly varying sizes of jack plug….who knew? 🤷🏻♂️

I took delivery of my new Squier Classic Vibe “60s Precision this week and I bloody love it but, when the guitar lead is plugged fully in there’s no sound, if I pull the jack back a fraction it kicks into life and sounds fine. I played it at rehearsal last night and it only fell silent once, a quick jiggle of the jack sorted it.
What can I do to remedy this?I don’t want to play and worry if I’m going to suddenly fall silent.

I went for the burgundy strap and it looks amazing, it compliments the pickguard 😀
