  1. I've just assumed that if I was prepared to pay £800 for something then my bid limit is £600 (ish).

It's a bit like eBay sellers flogging something for £1 and then charging £10 P&p. Total price is £11.

The people who lose out are the sellers here. But everyone has to make a living. No one is forcing us to buy anything here.

    There's a lot of Lekato wirelesseseses available - https://lekatodeal.com/en-uk/collections/wireless-guitar-transmitter-receiver

I use the WS-50 - 5.8GHz digital. Toying with getting the WS-90 which has double the battery size.

Edit: Oops - accidentally pressed "Buy it now" on a WS-90 with box opened for £40. Oh dear.

Thats great, as you didn't want to buy it, I'm happy to take it off your hands for £40....

Well, I don't know if I'm the first to buy something as a result of something learned/discovered at the bash, but I've just snagged a Lekato WS-70 UHF wireless kit for £30 on eBay.

Any update on this please? yes I am impatient :)

  4. And now I've built it, I'm going to change it again :)

Based on feedback from the weekend at the North West and Scotland Bass Bash

    1.  The body shape will be more curved to avoid the high edge that presses against the wrist.
    2.  I'll try and cut the weight down a bit. Making it more curvy will actually help. The target is less than 4Kg.
    3.  Countersink the neck screws rather than them sitting proud with flanges
    4.  Replace the electrics with something nicer. Possibly active, this means changing the control panel pocket to allow a battery. Mmmm......
    5.  Simplify some of the pickup mounting holes and add some more in different places. Perhaps a single high quality pickup?
    6.  Redesign the back to allow more access to the headless bridge.
    7.  Redesign how to channel the pickup wiring so it's neater and not just laying there. Might be as simple as a velcro strap, cable tie and a loop hole or similar.
    8.  Look at better finishes. There were some gorgeous basses at the weekend, I need to step my game up :)

Sat down on Sunday and worked out how to get both sides of the frame to be sculptered. Really tricky to print.

Only just noticed @ossyrocks has a cup of tea in hand, I have a memory that he only ever put a cup down to pick a bass up :) The moment the bass went down, a cup of tea magically appeared in his hand.

  6. @LukeFRC yeah already tried Lidl for owl and hedgehog food. They were out of that, they did have a special offer on scorpions for mongoose owners, as well as 300kg of fish for sea lions, but nothing on owls.

On the upside, I did get a great deal from Lidl on a portable crane for taking car engines out and a concrete mixer.

  7. My daughter asked me to say "Thanks for the generous donations to Craven Wildlife Rescue".

You kindly donated £51 and Thebe is very happy. The money will go on rescuing owls and hedgehogs. Owls apparently are quite expensive to feed 😊 Booths don't sell dead mice and other stuff like that. Peter Can you sort this out please?
