The usual fix is to remove the Librarian and Central programs and their preference files and re-install, because something has become corrupted from the original installation. This which trying on a different computer normally also works.

This has also worked!  Thanks BigRed :)

I had a similar problem Gareth. Helix software works fine on my Dell XPS15 but Librarian and Central won’t.  Line 6 were not a lot of help. In the end I installed their Librarian and Central on a different PC and it worked fine. D.

Thanks Dave. This worked!  Librarian and Central both installed fine on my laptop and it's now updated to the latest firmware.  Weird

What happens if you update to 3.80 then 3.81 then 3.83? Alternatively, can you update online rather than from a downloaded file?

Same issue. Everything would download but when I clicked update it did nothing.

  3. Hello all

Trying to update my new HX One from 3.70 to 3.83 and it just won't work.  I have installed Line 6 Librarian and Line 6 Central with no issue, but when I get to this screen:

If I click on "update from file", which I have downloaded, it allows me to select the file, but then if I try and click on "perform update" it does nothing.  I mean, my mouse clicks, obviously, but nothing happens on screen.

Any ideas on what the issue is?

Run as administrator perhaps, or different USB cable?

    Cheers

  4. Sorry to hear your family have had had such a tough time.  I had a year like this in 2024; Sister in Law died of a brain tumour in April, my Mum died of pancreatic cancer in July, and Brother in Law was in a coma and hospitalised for ten months with brain abscesses (he has recovered but won't walk again), and then to top it all off our dog died in December.

It really made my wife and I reflect on things, so much so we have decided to retire (I'm being made redundant in March next year, so that forces the issue somewhat as at 60 I have no appetite to get back into the fray) and enjoy life.  You never now when or how it might change, and we are lucky to have paid off the mortgage and have two grown kids, so it feels right.

Life can throw a lot of crap at us sometimes, as the other comments attest to, but we keep on pushing don't we.

  5. I'm gutted. I remember I discovered his music when I was at uni in the 80s . "Shamrock Diaries" and especially "On the Beach" were go to CDs for much of the time.  The latter is still one of my favourite albums.

    RIP Chris 🫶

These are amazing, this is a really good buy for someone who wants a quality handmade leather strap. Mine is one of my best bass related buys ever

Yep, I’m a total Heistercamp fanboi and use nothing else on my basses.  I even wear their belts too!  All made to last a lifetime.

I’m only selling this because it’s surplus to requirements due to downsizing my bass collection.

  8. Used but in excellent condition, these have the shorter length stem.  Two bass-side and three treble-side, but they can be reversed if needed.  Perfect for Dingwall Combustion basses.

    • Solid machined aircraft grade aluminium housing gives you high durability in an extremely light package
    • Tiny footprint installs easily on small headstocks
    • 20:1 gear ratio with a full size gear and worm for super quick and accurate tuning
    • Stainless steel key prevents tarnishing and rust where you touch yor tuner the most
    • 3/8" string post fits 9/16" [14mm] headstock holes
