  1. Hi there,

I've recently downsized my pedal collection quite a lot, and a tuner and Sansamp VT Bass look a little lonely on this pedalboard which could comfortably fit a dozen or so Boss sized pedals on it.

It's about 18 months old and is in good nick. Here's a stock picture, but I can post proper ones tonight.

Looking for £45 collected, or add a tenner for posted.

In terms of collection - West Yorks is good, but I travel to Manchester and also up and down to Bedfordshire quite a lot so can potentially meet up along the M62 or M1.

    Cheers,

    Dan

  2. Hi all,

Need to free up some funds to enable me to redo the kitchen (rock n roll!) so I'm offering this up for sale. I mainly use my Fender Bassman head anyway. I got this for more convenience at gigs but we're not doing any at the moment.

I think everyone knows everything about this head so I won't go on too much about it.

I had the stock valves replaced by Dave at Rosewell Amps to give more clean headroom and a gentler breakup, although you can still get that full-on crunch when you drive the gain.

I have the original valves it came with when I bought it and these will be included in the sale, together with a speakon-speakon connector.

Here's a pic to start with although I can add more if need be.

  3. I picked up a 4 month old Fender Rumble 15 from eBay for £31 last month. I used to have an Orange Crush 35 and this is smaller, lighter, and with a much nicer tone. Definitely spot on for home practice.

  4. Went to see My Bloody Valentine last night, and amongst the basses used by Deb was a beautiful electric blue metallic one which looked from a distance not unlike a Fender Jag, but I don't think it was.

Was anyone from here at the gig and if so can they shed any light on it? Will try and find a pic.

  5. Thanks for the views. I think I will see what my tech can do with it - he's a bit of a magician when it comes to this sort of thing.

It's not like it's unplayable or anything.

If I do decide to return it for exchange - do you know if there's a time limit on this?

  6. So I bought a new Nate Mendel P bass a couple of weeks ago. I'm really happy with it generally, but there are a couple of niggles.

One is the fact that I haven't been able to set it up properly as the neck has a very sight bow, and I can't see a way to adjust the truss rod without taking the neck off, and I'd rather get someone else to do that. I generally take stuff to Jim Fleeting in Ripon as he always does a great job.

The second niggle is that I have noticed that the strings seem to be slightly too far over to the right when you look down on the neck. It's like they're a millimetre too far over to the right at the heel base of the neck, as if the bridge has been mounted just out of place.

My question is - should I take it back and get them to swap it for another one, or would it not bother you if it played okay?

I compared it to my US P, and that one is perfectly true straight down the middle. I'm in a bit of a quandary.
