Several expressions of interest in this ever-popular bad boy, but nothing concrete yet.
Friday bump! -

By "decent sized venues" I mean large pubs / clubs rather than Manchester Arena btw.
-
I have never needed to have the master volume above 3 either through my Barefaced cab or the Matamp 2x12 I had before that.
Whether you want a clean sound or a bit of grit it would cope with decent sized venues no problem. -

Hi there,
I've recently downsized my pedal collection quite a lot, and a tuner and Sansamp VT Bass look a little lonely on this pedalboard which could comfortably fit a dozen or so Boss sized pedals on it.
It's about 18 months old and is in good nick. Here's a stock picture, but I can post proper ones tonight.
Looking for £45 collected, or add a tenner for posted.
In terms of collection - West Yorks is good, but I travel to Manchester and also up and down to Bedfordshire quite a lot so can potentially meet up along the M62 or M1.
Cheers,
Dan

Hi all,
Need to free up some funds to enable me to redo the kitchen (rock n roll!) so I'm offering this up for sale. I mainly use my Fender Bassman head anyway. I got this for more convenience at gigs but we're not doing any at the moment.
I think everyone knows everything about this head so I won't go on too much about it.
I had the stock valves replaced by Dave at Rosewell Amps to give more clean headroom and a gentler breakup, although you can still get that full-on crunch when you drive the gain.
I have the original valves it came with when I bought it and these will be included in the sale, together with a speakon-speakon connector.
Here's a pic to start with although I can add more if need be. -
I picked up a 4 month old Fender Rumble 15 from eBay for £31 last month. I used to have an Orange Crush 35 and this is smaller, lighter, and with a much nicer tone. Definitely spot on for home practice.

Sorry for not amending the title sooner.

Went to see My Bloody Valentine last night, and amongst the basses used by Deb was a beautiful electric blue metallic one which looked from a distance not unlike a Fender Jag, but I don't think it was.
Was anyone from here at the gig and if so can they shed any light on it? Will try and find a pic. -
Still here Friday bump!

Replied!

I'm amazed this is still here. If I didn't already have two P's and an angry breadknife this would be mine.
-
This is very much still available, The Dark Lord! I would normally be tempted by a trade, but I've just added a second P bass to the collection, and this one's being moved on to make room...
The missus would go berserk... -
I feel like building a bass from bits now...
-
I'm really pleased I did this. I don't know why I was so frightened before. Very happy with the outcome.
-
Okay, so I took the neck off, adjusted the truss rod, put the neck back on, applying a bit of pressure to push it back into alignment.
Result? Strings aligned, action nice and low. Plays just like my other P now.
Panic over. -
Thanks for the views. I think I will see what my tech can do with it - he's a bit of a magician when it comes to this sort of thing.
It's not like it's unplayable or anything.
If I do decide to return it for exchange - do you know if there's a time limit on this? -
So I bought a new Nate Mendel P bass a couple of weeks ago. I'm really happy with it generally, but there are a couple of niggles.
One is the fact that I haven't been able to set it up properly as the neck has a very sight bow, and I can't see a way to adjust the truss rod without taking the neck off, and I'd rather get someone else to do that. I generally take stuff to Jim Fleeting in Ripon as he always does a great job.
The second niggle is that I have noticed that the strings seem to be slightly too far over to the right when you look down on the neck. It's like they're a millimetre too far over to the right at the heel base of the neck, as if the bridge has been mounted just out of place.
My question is - should I take it back and get them to swap it for another one, or would it not bother you if it played okay?
I compared it to my US P, and that one is perfectly true straight down the middle. I'm in a bit of a quandary. -
Hey guys. This beautiful guitar is still available, just took it out for a bit of a play tonight. Sounding pretty sweet.
Please don't make me put this on eBay! -
Dark Lord - PM replied.
Elvis Valentine - not looking for trades at the moment, I'm afraid. -
No love for the Jack Casady? I find that hard to believe!
If there's something wrong with the price then make me an offer.

This one is still available! What better way to celebrate Murray's historic Wimbledon victory than with a new amp?
Ready to ship tomorrow. Courier should be around £15 if needed.
