3. They're all just a bunch of battle-dodging-nappy-wearing-I'd-rather-have-a-cup-of-tea-than-run-naked-at-Jerry woosses! Last year I (51) joined a guitarist (56), dragged along keys (53) and we found a drummer (52-ish, I think)... we've been rehearsing at a studio where you pay for 3 hours and get the 4th for free... so that's a 4-hour rehearsal... and there's no Ovaltine or Cocoa in sight... and we're cranking out kick-ass covers of old Rock classics (Black Night, Wishing Well... you get the idea)... and gigging as well! There's a hoard of hungry punters out there in their 50s & 60s who are fed up going to pubs and being forced to endure "Yoof" Music... they want to ROK-OUT! Make some noise... till way after their beddy-byes time!!!
  4.
They must have been desperate . Then they found out I have no personality. Of course I don't, I'm a bass player for God's sake. If I had personality I'd be a rodie
Best line I've seen in months! You've got something worth more than all the tea in china, mate: a Sense of Humour! Stuff 'em! Life's too short... The day we give up on the playing is the day we give up on life and shuffle off the mortal wossname... ROK ON...

    4x10 Cabs

Cor Blimey! Well, I never knew you coould get to talk to so many bassists in just a couple of days! Ta to all for your replies and suggestions (well most of them...!!) I love the look (and the concept) of the Purple Chilli box.... if only I had more dosh... And the multiple 2x10s is something to bear in mind for when the body descends further into decrepitude... But for now I've struck a deal with Psychoandy for his Schroeder - now excitedly awaiting it's arrival, and getting set to move to a new level in the demolition game. Cheers chums! Tim. PS - Throwoff... I think perhaps we should just draw a veil of decency over what can be done in a Fiat Punto LOL!

    4x10 Cabs

If I do, I'll be sure to mention it here... Thanks for the offer, Throwoff ... sadly, I don't think my car is big enough! (and replacing that is DEFINITELY out of the question!) Thanks for the tipoff about the 410...

    4x10 Cabs

Hi. I'm looking to get me a 4x10 cab to drive off my Ashdown ABM500. Considerations are: money (as little as poss!), noise/power (500-800W, 4 Ohms), Freq. response & SPL, and weight (I'm not as young as I used to be - as my back keeps telling me!). A keen contender is the Markbass 104HR, but the price! Sheesh! So, other contenders in the frame look to be: Ampeg B-410HLF, Gallien & Kruger NEO 410/4, Eden EN410XST, Warwick WCA411-4 PRO. Anybody got any suggestions, comments, recommendations?...
  9.
Bump with a price drop!
Hey buddy, is this amp still available or has it gone? If still available, are you interested in a part/trade involving a 5-string fretless with active circuitry that I've got and no longer need?
