Total Watts

1. Markbass Standard 151 HR in excellent condition including quality ‘Roqsolid’ cover (retails over £40). 400w at 8 ohm. Asking £350. Collection from my home address near Junction 30 M1 or office address near Junction 34 A1. Will post at cost to buyer – for guidance weight approx 24kg Sold on Ebay
2. Just used UPS with no probs. Cost about £45 to ship from South Yorks to London (inc. insurance on a £1500 bass). Found it easier to call in at their local depo rather than on line. Most couriers have very limited cover on musical instruments and thats what swung it for me in the end.
3. Been using jazzes & precisions for years - Sei also. Recently bought a 96 Stingray on impulse. Must say I'm well impressed for the £600 I paid. As you rightly point out, main difference is that the Stingray cuts through the mix particularly high up the neck.
4. Can highly recommend this active 'near-field' monitor by Mackie, which is designed to fit on a standard boom mike stand. Basically it’s the same has the other two, but its got all the controls you need at the front so its easy to tweek the sound while you're playing. I find the 'near-field' monitors a good compromise between in-ear and traditional wedge monitors. mackie
5. Guess most of you will be familiar with these combos. Basically an 80 watt amp driving an 8" speaker with a 7 band graphic. Easy to use no fancy stuff but produces a clear and punchy sound for its size. I've owned this from new bout 93 ? therefore it’s in the original vinyl covering rather than the later carpet finish. Also had a 'top hat' fitted on the underside, so it can be mounted on a speaker stand if required - I used it this way as a stage monitor Comes with a very tatty pvc cover that does the job so to speak. Will ship if I must, but it’s damned heavy for its size so it'll be bout £35 ? - will obtain an accurate figure before sending. Asking price £90
6. Did someone mention a Party ? ..... count me in PM sent
