  1. Well it’s a result of just having a solid board which has all I need. I look at the effects forums and for sale stuff but boring old me is actually really happy with the board and instead of wanting stuff I think I should buy I’m enjoying having exactly what I need.

If the mods wish to remove the post/thread feel free to do so and slap my wrists.

I use a pretty decent sized board (there’s two Lightening Boy Audio 2020s transformers underneath along with a Thumpinator too which you can’t see in the picture) so I’m not against effects nor am I trolling.

  2. Selling a really nice and resonant P bass. The body is a Jon Shuker p bass body fashioned from some nice Alder in a wonderful natural finish. The neck is the “famed” Japanese PB70US-70, impeccably finished and nicer than the Nate Medel fender which has the same spec carve/shape. I’ve owned a fair few P basses and this late 70’s (B carve I think) is my favourite sitting between a P and J with a 40mm nut. The body’s neck joint was tailored for this specific neck so it’s a comfy fit made by one of the U.K.’s best!

A Jon Shuker p bass starts at about £1800 and while this isn’t a full Shuker the quality is there to see.

A few years back I had a pro luthier route the bass and shield it so I could put in any pick up of my choosing and it’s currently got a Ki0g0n solderless loom with a David Allen 1080P pick up which really sounds great in this bass in a reverse p configuration.

A couple of pics to get you stated and I’ll add more later. Shipping is an option but I’d really rather meet. @Walshy has a man with a van who we could use but that would be up for discussion as a 50/50 cost split. I think I have a couple of scratch plates for this two in reverse p and regular p.

  3. Basswitch is a really clean pre and two bands of semi para mids two fx loops, a boost, two inputs for two bass or you can A/B the preamp on/off transformer in the DI and just a wonderful clean sound. The lows are set low but it’s never muddy or undefined.

I’ve had one for about 10yrs and wouldn’t sell it even though it’s not on my board just now it’s a keeper for me!

I think there was one for sale on the forum quite recently.

  4. We scope and trawl and hunt and scavenge yet when we take stock on the gig and listen… our needs are 98% met.

Buy less enjoy more. If it’s not working turn it off and enjoy not using it. If it works enjoy it for what it does. If it’s not quite right make the call and step on or don’t step on.

    Don’t think so.

This topic comes up occasionally about possible upgrades (mods) to Dimension basses since nobody seems to stock the pups off the shelf. There were some complaints of “clicking” when the strings touched the pole-pieces……..but hardly something that couldn’t be fixed by a decent set up.

    Or tape

Shameless plug :D but this does the warm bluesy drive thing better than most pedals I've tried over the years.

I have one of these and it’s a cracking pedal. It’s a low gain unit which is very tweakanke to get it dialled in to suit. I’ve used a spark booster and would

place the BetaV as the love child of the of the original Beta, the Spark booster and EHX bass soul food.
