I played a Wal for over 30 years. It was pretty much my first bass. In all that time I never played a Fender. I got a Jazz a few years ago and absolutely love it and can’t believe it took me so long to discover. Mind you I had it PLEKd, fitted a new nut, changed the pickups, electronics, bridge and machine heads to make it my perfect bass. 😂😂

Line 6 HX Stomp - £380 Delivered in UK. Mint condition, boxed with PSU and manuals. I will also include 2 x external footswitches. The first is a great Pedalnetics which can sit on top. The second is a Bright Onion HXFS which is designed to match the look of the HX Stomp.
Purchased in June last year from Thomann. I've only been using this for an octave effect for one song as the tracking is great. Selling as I need to reclaim the space on my pedalboard and so have replaced it with an OC-5.
Potential buyers are welcome to try out in Glasgow.

John East J-Retro 01 Preamp - £125 Delivered in UK. Purchased from John East in September 2023 and comes with original box. I love this preamp and only selling as I have a new Sadowsky incoming and have reverted my Fender jazz to passive with flats.

I love mine. I take the point about the cost being equal to a second hand PF-20T but you can't put that on a pedalboard.
-
I've always done this and for me it has been a great help in learning the neck, memorising songs etc.

I've owned many many compressors and my constant favourite is the Keeley Compressor Pro. There is something magical about it.

I owned this compressor and found it worked best at the end of the chain as a mastering compressor as Steen advises.

Happy days! I’ll not be so lucky, but at least I know what to expect, £80 is about what it came to using the calculation from @Quatschmacher anyway.
So at £400 would you say it’s worth the money?
It's worth the money for me. I bought it with the intention of using it for valve warmth on a few old tunes but the beautiful harmonic content it adds to my tone means it has become an always on pedal.

Mine was delivered with a customs sticker telling the post office not to deliver until they had taken a charge of £80. However, the postman just handed it over and I was never asked for payment. I'm guessing it fell through the net due to the Xmas rush.

This is the best amp I have owned but I have decided to downsize my rig to a simple combo to reduce the number of items I need to carry during load-in.

Stop Press! I've just had the official Bergantino gig bag delivered for this amp which I will include. I'd ordered this months ago and forgotten about it as it's been out of stock everywhere for the past several months.

Barefaced Super Twin T - £950.
This is the version with the tweeter and HF control. Silver cloth grill and included cover which was an extra charge. It cost me £1,595 from Barefaced in August last year so grab a bargain. It's my dream cab but I need to face the fact that it is too big for the stages I play on as my band has a 16 piece horn section so stage space is at a premium.
Treated with love and care so in excellent condition with no marks or blemishes.
I no longer have the box so this will be collection only from Glasgow. I can meet buyers halfway within a reasonable distance.
Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow.

Bought 4 weeks ago from Bass Direct where I paid £879 for the cab and £70 for the cover. In brand new condition with protective film and tags still attached. Selling as I've decided to change to a combo to make load-ins easier in light of parking issues in city centres. I still have the original box so shipping won't be a problem.
I've owned several GR Bass cabs and they have all been fantastic.

I really want a Grand Slampegg! I’m also after another Caveman Preamp but it has to be the compact, they sound absolutely immense!
Yes there is a noticeable difference in tone between the BP1 and BP1 Compact. I've owned both but found the low frequencies to be a bit too strong for my taste on the BP1 Compact. Either was they are both superb preamps.
The Grand Slampegg is amazing and will never leave my board.

Caveman Audio BP1 Preamp - £580 Delivered in UK.
In immaculate condition and boxed. Purchased from Bass Buddah two months ago. This is a superb preamp and is the third one I have owned but I keep struggling with the amount of pedal board space it needs. This time I am determined to downsize to a smaller board.
