Rufus Philpot. Great teacher and I get so much out of his lessons.

I bypass the preamp in my amp and connect the Magellan Pre to the amp fx return socket. This allows me to use the amp as a poweramp and control volume from the pedal.

Thanks. I'm obsessed with Sean Hurley.

I have one. I also have a Keeley compressor pro in front of it. I can't compare it to the Genz-Benz but can say that it is identical to the preamp on the Magellan amplifiers. The DI out is excellent.

I bought my LH Fender Jazz online from them and got terrific support. I had opted for their Plek service and they were were very patient with my many requests including stringing the bass with my preferred strings to ensure the Plex process was as accurate as possible.

I can't help with the shim material but for the pickups I took mine out and put extra foam underneath to help maintain the pressure when resting my thumb on them.

I've always followed the Fender setup guide for my jazz bass. It is very helpful and does a good job of optimising the playability of the bass.

I had a similar experience with my AM 2 Pro and changed the bridge to a Babicz. I detest the Fender bridges.

Both of the Will Sargeant memoirs are cracking reads. Lots of details of life in a band and the music biz.

Tom bought my Eich cab cover and freed me of the long-standing embarrassment of having bought a cover for a cab I didn't buy. I'm delighted it has finally found a home.
Friendly comms and fast payment. I couldn't have asked for more.

ACG Recurve 5 String - Price drop to £950
£1,100including UK Delivery before I send to a well-knows bass dealer to sell. The bass that's so good I bought it twice. I was the first owner so it was built to my spec. I sold it as I couldn't get on with the filter preamp but always regretted selling it. I bought it back and, you guessed, I still couldn't get on with the preamp. So here it is up for sale. Comes with Hiscox hard case.In very good condition with only one mark I can find. There is a light graze at the lower strap button which I've show in the photos below.

For One Moment - Lee Hazlewood. All of Lee's songs appear to be very simple on the surface but are all masterpieces of songwriting and arrangement. The bass part is very straightforward but requires attention to note length and timing.
