Absolutely immaculate, brand new, never gigged barely used unit. Only reason I'm selling this lovely speaker is because I want to replace it with an all Genz Benz rig, rather than mixing makes. I currently have a GBE750 on the way and it will "only" be putting 400watts into this 8 ohm cab, where as it will be putting close to 700 into the Genz 212. Hence the sale. Probably stupid of me to sell it after only just buying it, but there you go I'm a bit of a perfectionist. This is a great sounding unit. I paid £530 a few weeks ago for it (2 at the time of writing). Its Yours for £350 Obviously, it comes with all original docs/cables etc and most importantly the full warranty as I have the receipt. A bargain for a bit of kit that is absolutely brand new. Feel free to come check it out, if you're able to get to Enfield, North London. (Warwick and head not included, unfortunately) Dave
-

Immaculate, beautiful 2009 (bought in July - only 4 months old!!) Warwick Corvette $$ Zebrano-II Special Edition for sale. Ash body, with thick Zebrano top. In comparison to the Ash model, the sound of the Zebrano has brighter highs and and a tighter bottom. Incredibly punchy and focused sound, plus a whole load of other tones from mellow and smooth up to outright aggressive can be coaxed from this bass. I'm looking for £800. May consider a trade, but I have MAJOR Clover GAS!! Dave
Hey mate Loads of people are saying the Squier Classic Vibe's are great basses, 60's style Jazzes. Also don't rule out Japanese models if you're after a reissue, I think American Standards are great, but the American RI's are a little overpriced. Si
Bloody hell that was quick. You spend far too much time on here I don't think I can justify a US model, after having bought the G&L 5er and the Corvette $$ in the last few months!

Right, I've decided I'm going to stop pretending I don't like Fenders and go get a Jazz bass. I'm thinking a Mexican deluxe or preferably a 60's reissue. Who has experience with a mexican deluxe? Are the pickups/preamps decent? Does anyone have any experience of the Mexican 60's Jazz bass? The bass in this clip sounds and looks AWESOME http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMKj_4DtlQs
Bloody hell.... It sounds AWESOME. It has all the punch and growl of a GK, but with a richer more upmarket overall quality to the tone and MUCH warmer fatter low end. The EQ is much more potent and flexible than the GK too. Both the FET and valve channels sound fantastic. It's pretty much exactly what I was hoping it was going to sound like, infact. It's also built like a Challenger tank. Weight is pretty similar too. I think Im gonna keep the GK neo cab after all. 400 watts will do me fine! I just need to get me a gig now and turn it up properly..
Oh, and no sign of any buzzing whatsoever, even at high volume sitting right infront of it. I've only tried a Warwick Corvette $$ through it, so I'm not sure if other basses might be different...
I've just received the amp at work. I'm already impressed by the build quality and general chunkiness of it. Man is this thing heavy though. I have to carry it home tonight too (about a 10 minute walk)... I'll let you know how I get on when I give it a try tonight. Dave
Bloody hell....
That's my rig at the moment.. i have experienced what wateroftyne has said, however i wouldn't say within five feet... maybe more like one foot. And if i'm going to stand that close to my amp i'm not happy anyway. Its an amazing rig, the two channels allow me have two completely different setups for any combination of basses. I've often run my double bass into the Fet channel and electric into the tube and it sounds good... not ideal for double bass obviously.... watch the weight on the head though if that's a concern?? it ways a tonne.... but the cab is light and really portable with the wheels. so it a real thumbs up for me... any specifics just mail me.
I've just received the amp at work.
I've been gigging this cab for nearly two years and it's never given me any problems of any kind and I often get complimented on my sound. Nice and portable too without sacrificing any low end etc by being TOO small. I'd snatch it off you if i wasn't skint. BUMP for a great, affordable cab.
I'm almost tempted to keep it actually. Out of interest what head are you running through it? Dave -
this is a Fender Jazz 24 fret in cherry burst, bassline pickups, ash body, rosewood board...a wonderful bass...i got the tobacco version and it is seriously good.. amazing growl..ive got some good basses and this £600 bass is up there with them.. why Fender stopped these is beyond me??...inconsistent quality is its only downfall..but when you get a good one, it seriously rocks..
Cool. So is 499+ a good price for one of these? Dave
i would say a fender fmt, i thought they had block-inlays.
Nice! I'm lusting after it. I love Jazz basses, but I don't really like retro looking basses, so this is perfect.

Looks quite interesting with the 24 frets and the active circuitry...

27 year old bass player with plenty of gigging experience available for creative or function bands. I have played in radio-friendly rock covers bands (I'm in a fairly casual one of those at the moment) two hardcore metal bands, one which played plenty of shows including an extensive tour of Europe (not as glamourous as it sounds, though, trust me!) and a funk/soul/disco band, which I really enjoyed. I've been playing since I was 15. Musically, I'm influenced by funk and acid jazz/jazz players, such as Stuart Zender from Jamiroquai. If I was to single out a bass player as being the biggest influence on my sound, it would have to be Flea from the RHCP (which was kind of a natural result of the mix of funk and metal/hardrock/punk influence anyway). SO I can do full on energetic well but I can also do soft and mellow pretty well too I think. Having played in a couple of rock covers bands I'm also not adverse to doing straight rock bass as well. Ideally I'd like to do something in the vein of the Chilis or Rage against the machine. I definitely like any combination of rock/funk/hip hop crossover. I'm also up for doing prog-rock or melodic rock with a bit of an edge along the lines of Muse. Ultimately though I'm just up for a bit of a challenge and some more experience playing with new musicians. I've got my own pro equipment, including Gallien Krueger amplification and a top end Warwick Bass, so I'll be getting some great sounds live. I currently reside in Enfield, North London, but can travel. Cheers, Dave
I do.. I had a GBE750. (apologies to all who've heard this before) It was a great-sounding head but it buzzed like an angry swarm of bees if I went within 5 feet of the amp. Genz and the UK distributor bent over backwards to try and sort it, but they couldn't. They tried to tell me it was because my basses weren't shielded.. I've never had a similar problem before or since. Shame. It could have been fab. Mind you, no-one else has reported any similar problems. I think I'm just cursed...
Well, I've taken the plunge and bought the GBE750. It should arrive end of this week. I'm buying blind so fingers crossed it works out for me! I'll let you know how I get on.
Looks like a nice piece of gear! I have a 2006 Warwick Corvette $$ 4 string in Nirvana Black. Would you be interested in a swap / trade? Email me: If interested I'll take some pics of it.
Hi Larry. Thanks for your offer, but my other bass is a 2009 Corvette $$ Zebrano special edition. As much as I love these basses, I don't think I could really justify 2!
