1. NEOX212 speaker.

    Includes custom leather cover.

Previously advertised with head and I have since realised I was advertising for too high a price, hence re-list.
    Head now advertised separately.

In fantastic almost as new nick. Only damage is miniscule wear to handles and wheels.

Awesome huge, clear, powerful detailed sound. Can handle anything you throw at it. Fantastic speaker - I would be keeping it if it weren't for the fact I have moved in with my lady and need to down size!
    600w and 4 ohms.

Now on for £450 + postage.

    More pics to follow.

  2. Hi guys,

Just thought I'd post up my Youtube channel, which currently features me doing some slightly sketchy improvisation. Gear involved is Mayones Jabba Classic with Delano pickups and Warwick Corvette $$ Zebrano II with Nordstand preamp going into Zoom B2.1u, recorded via Virtualdub. More less sketchy stuff to come (and I might even change the strings on my Wick.)

I'm not much of expert when it comes to amps, but that thing was compact and loud(!) - I used it in 16 piece gospel band in big outdoor stage, and, while I didn't have a 'regular' monitor then, I could hear myself without any problem..
How is your Genz 10-3.0 working out for you?

  5.
Immaculate, barely used pedal (I just don't seem to get the urge to make porn music) still with box and paperwork for sale.

Awesome, organic and very funky sounding pedal.

About 120ish in the shops - £60 for you.

  7. NOW SOLD***********************************

Used 2 Band (Treble, Bass, Vol, Pan) MEC preamp straight out of a Corvette $$ for sale.

All fully functional and professionally removed by the Bass Gallery. Reason for selling is because I upgraded to a Nordy preamp.

    Does not include knobs.

Pots are - volume (with pull for passive mode) pan, bass and treble.

I believe treble is set @ 2KHz and bass is set @ 40 Hz.

    Powerful preamp.

    £50

  8.
I think I might go for an East U-Retro Deluxe four knob in my Vette $$. The MEC is fine TBH but it's not exactly subtle.

Are the Nordys really that good?
East's are supposed to be very good, but possibly more coloured if my research is anything to go by. In my opinion (and obviously I've only got the real world comparison between nordy and MEC to go by) the Nordstrand is very neutral sounding - flat it sounds exactly the same as passive to my ears. The treble selector (between 4k and something like 12.5kish - I think) and internal gain control are excellent additional features that put it above alot of the competition.

  9. Anyone thinking of upgrading their Wick with one of these preamps should do it, coz my God...

I've got the Nordstrand 2B- 4b with the internal treble selector switch (very cool idea) set to bright (too upper middish otherwise) and it sounds AWESOME. So much sweeter than the MEC preamp. I would never crank the MEC treble pot past o.5 as it sounds harsh to my ears. Setting a treble pot at 2K (which is upper mid not treble) is a bloody stupid idea - and frankly I always hated the MEC preamp. That said I've heard plenty of people who like the power of this preamp and prefer the growly upper mid-ness of the treble pot.

I can now crank the treble pot ALL the way up and get an awesome stingray-but-with-a-Warwick-growl tone which is fantastic, and definitely well worth the 200quid. The lows are also smoother and more musical. A massive improvement.

Having just voiced my opinion on the MEC preamp - if anyone's interested in buying the MEC 2 band preamp off me I'd gladly part with it for £50.
