The guy is an absolute saint, I Can't recommend him enough.... He also did a fantastic job of a fret stone on my Sadowsky and corrected some pesky fret buzz. Great service!

8. Guys, I'm just making the finishing touches to my US Musicman Sterling HS/ 70s Stingray hybrid. The "Stingling HS Classic....." Nordstrand MM4.2, SGD 70s replica Musicman 2 band preamp, custom 5-way switching (giving it the Sterling/Stingray hybrid-ness) giving me Parallel H (for the classic 70s Stingray tone) Coil's 2 and 3 in series for some serious meaty sorta P-bass tone, Series H (for the classic Sterling sound) All coils and Single coil soloed... It still has some more grounding to do and a tidy up in the control cavity, but it is sounding IMMENSE. I'll post up some clips and pics soon Dave
9. Sold Asmo my Warwick $$ SE. Quick payment, clear and prompt comms and he even paid extra without fuss for the shipping when it ended up costing more than I originally quoted. A true gent to do business with.
10. Mate, I would get extradited! Those MM fanboys are nearly as bad as the Rickenazis!
11. In terms of spec, it basically means a sterling neck (but with only 21 frets like all Stringrays instead of 22) i.e. 38mm nut width - slim Jazz bass styley. Dave
12. Slim, Lovely....Orgasmic? No idea!
13. Hi guys, I have a 2007 Sterling HS, which has a true 2 coil H pickup (wired in Series) and the Single coil with a dummy coil attached to it. I only ever use the H pickup soloed with the mids cut almost entirely out of it because I really want a more Stingray tone, and I'm interested in upgrading the Hbucker to a Nordy 4.2. So that got me wondering... Is it possible to rewire a Sterling HS/HH in parallel? I have contacted Nordstrand and they really aren't sure how do this. I don't want to bother Musicman as they don't like their gear being modded (or at least getting involved in mods and getting involved in potentially risky/messy alterations, which is fair enough). Before anyone says anything, I don't want a Stingray, as I like thin necks, SLO Stingrays are as rare as rocking-horse sh*t and no I don't think MM are too sacred to mod...(I've modded a deified Sadowsky with my own fair hands with great success...) Any advice, stories or even better a how-to would be muchos appreciated Dave
14. These are £50 imported. Immaculate condition. Original Sadowsky Metro MV4 scratchplate. Selling as I have a different colour on there now. £25!
