Arse! I'd have happily driven down from Edinbugger for it at that price.
Jon.
If it had been in Newcastle, I would have had it in my house by Lunchtime, Jon. -
Are they making savings by using the same neck for the four string and the five string?
Looks like it.

If you're taking it to Jez to get seen to, don't worry about expense. He's one of the guys who DOESN'T take the p*ss when it comes to pricing. He did my old Trace amp last year, and I got it back quickly, working perfectly, for a VERY reasonable price.
(It cost more for the flipping Diesel to get to his place-He's miles away from me.) -
Unfortunately its sold
Aw-it's a shame that no-one had the decency to say that on the occasions he's been on-line to read the P.M.'s, instead of just ignoring them. -
P.M'd twice in two days. Changed your mind?
-
I'd probably have been happier paying money to someone who could spell "whuppin'" properly.
-
Am I missing something? Fender P Bass, made by Warwick?
(Always check what you've written before you post on e-bay.) -
So is that Alnmouth or Amble?
Oh and welcome to our newest Geordie... bout time we organised a little GTG to put names to faces.
Another one!?!? People will start to talk, man!
(and it's Alnwick)
[edit to show I'm a nosey old bastid] -
For that price, I'd expect the E-strings to stay in their slots on the bridge!
You know what, I think you're right. I have a really busy life, but when I think of the time I waste because I feel I need to relax, I know I could be spending some of that time practicing.
I don't know if this is relevant (or even useful) to you, but if I have a few minutes to "relax" I automatically reach for my practise Bass. It's got a crappy little headphone amp permanently plugged into it so I don't bother anybody else, and I find noodling away in the corner rather relaxing in itself. I use these moments to run through some of the songs I play with my current Bands, and try adding different riffs, runs and the like to the existing arrangements. If they work-great, if they're rubbish-I haven't f*cked up trying them out at a Gig. I've also found that the simple act of having the Bass constantly in your hands helps you to "connect" with it more, so I don't have to think (too much) about what I'm playing on stage, which means I can dance around like an idiot and entertain the crowd a bit more than if I were a shoe-gazer. (IMHO)
Like I say, horses for courses. It might not work for you, but it helps me a lot so it might be worth a try. -
Have you still got this, mate?

That's what's missing on this Forum-A good old dose of British Justice. We'll be allowing Vocalists and Drummers to post here before you know it! -
what are the dimensions and wieght of the 2x15?
42" tall, 25.5" wide, 14.5" deep. Heavy!(ish) -
If you were prepared to post (at my expense obviously) this would be ideal for my daughter. She plays classical guitar and sings, but has started her first band (at 13) and can't find a bass player - they even have a drummer!, so I'm encouraging her to play bass and sing. This would be ideal.
Convert them to the low end while they're young - like it! -
Oh aye-what's the name of your Band? I'll keep an eye out for when you get back on the road.
-
Howay in and welcome, marra. Enjoy your time one here.
-
Read between the lines:- None of the other Bands have their own Drumkit, or can't be bothered to bring it, so the only reason you've been asked to play is because your Band will provide one. Just in passing, if The Management find out you're all under 18, what are the chances of you being ejected forcibly and violently? (I've seen it happen) If so, will you have time to pack the drums whilst flying through the air? Which would mean coming back with Parents or suitable over 18 personnel to collect it. Even if you can get someone the same night, what are the chances the Gig will be over by the time you get back inside, and the other Bands will have battered seven bells out of the Drummers Equipment. (with no recompense to him)
I'm sorry, but I got more and more annoyed while reading the post, not at her, but at you for even considering being shafted by this manipulative bitc....female. Walk away, don't look back. NO Gig is worth all that sh*t. -
It certainly wasn't me. I couldn't win an argument these days.
Welcome... seems like i'm the official greeter this morning!!!
You were the only one awake at that ungodly hour! -
Someone taking a leaf out of our German friend's book? Make the price as silly as possible, which creates interest and gets you to view their "other items"?
-
Have a sniff round the "For Sale" pages on this very site. There are a few options of getting moderate/reasonable/good sounding Basses/Amps/Combos well within your budget.
(No, I'm not selling anything-I'm just amazed at the stuff on offer at the moment) -
Snap!!! It's a Vester Clipper-Bump for a nice Bass.

I don't suppose you've got your Grandfathers 1962 Jazz up there, have you?
(You'll "get" this if you've read any of the e-bay links)
