Have I paid over the odds? I hope it comes with the gig bag mentioned in this sale! Oh well I'm still excited about having a new toy to play with. -

Can you count the crotchets/quavers while your playing? I find this really hard but sometimes have to do when I'm learning new lines. Sometimes I notice I'm tapping my foot but completely out of syn with everything. Probably just a nervous distraction thing.

I bought a Boss ODB 3 pedal off Nick. Excellent communication. I recieved the pedal the day after my payment cleared with him. Excellent service!
Thanks alot Nick -
I tend to dial in a little more treble on my bass. Just enough to give me that growl needed for the slap and to make the pop stand out.

Luther Vandross - Never Too Much. Good bit of Marcus on their. I'm not much of a slapper but play it in a covers band. I find it's good for practicing getting a nice even slap tone. You can even practice slap and pop fills in the Chorus.

I take all my stuff to a guy called Mike. He does set ups from his house in Chorlton. I can thoroughly recommend him.
If you want his mobile number PM me and I will send it to you. -
I saw The Chillis at Leeds fest. I wasn't expecting much as last time I saw them I was sorely disappointed. But they were better than expected. They had a better sound and seemed more into it. But there was a lot of jamming and I walked away from the jam at the end.
I think they've lost touch with everything they were. Maybe they should start using again. They seemed more in touch with reality when they were on herion than they do now. -
I went with Musicguard.co.uk. It includes in locked vehicle insurance. and also covers you if its left in a locked room in a venue etc.

Well I like the way the Mag is done. I just want more of it. I don't think this should turn into a 'slag the contributers' off thread.

Stanley Clarke interview is good. But does anyone else think they could do with more exercises/transcriptions? They have 2 months to write the bloody thing. The American bass magazine i sometimes buy normally has a couple of song transcriptions and just as many exercises if not more as BGM, and it's monthly. Is it a lack of contributors?

Yeah definitely a classic. If I'd collected the bass I would have had it for £330 which is the same is the seller bought it for. So maybe he's not trying make a quick buck. Maybe he just doesn't like it and wants to recoup his costs.
All being well it should arrive tomorrow. I'm still excited. I hope I'm happy with it too. Cheers Dub Junkie
