  1. Finally got to trying out the BB434M today and I've got to say I'm impressed. As a current owner of a BB1024x I wasn't sure what to expect but it seems like its a similar bass to the previous models only with a maple fretboard option, at last.

The place where it was great was the pickups and the reconfiguration of their workings. Having come from the switch of the BB1024x I was unsure what difference to expect but much preferred being able to dial in as much Jazz pickup as desired on the new bass which in my case was only a little.

Even the pickguard isn't irritating me as much as used to! Now to get saving..

  2. Just something to consider, we sell music through CD's and digitally. From my perspective, if I'm considering going to see or am playing with another band I will always take the opportunity to check them out online beforehand if possible. 1 because you then know what to expect and 2 they may be great. I find that having the opportunity to do that will vastly improve the chances of me watching that band and also increase the chances that I will go on to buy their merchandise, be that CD or T-Shirt.

Personally, I find it hard to get into most bands if I don't know their material, listening online gets me interested in new stuff.

  3. My understanding was that the quarter pounder was the pickup of choice for a lot of the American punk bands. I had a nate Mendel bass which comes with it as standard and it was fantastic.
