1. Tempting, but I'll have to say no to the strat mate. Just about to move house, so the money would be more useful than moving another instrument.
2. Bump to subscribe via email, forgot to do it in the first post.
3. Are you wise in the ways of low end? Do you have fingers of doom which you use to play rock/metal/proggy stuff? Would you like to teach me some of that shiz? I've been playing for about 2 years, in a band since day 1 (switched away from guitar to get into this lineup and have never regretted it). Having just started to take on session work outside of the band, I've realised that there are gaps in my theoretical knowledge, I still have some bad "guitary" habits to shake out of my technique, and I could do with a weekly kick up the jacksy from a much better bass player. One slight oddety is that I'm totally blind, so you'd need to be able to break theory down verbally rather than showing me it on paper, and describe new techniques and/or be willing to adjust my grubby paws from time to time (I promise the blindness isn't contagious ). Other than those two things, it hasn't made a difference in my previous lessons on other instruments. Still, thought it was worth mentioning. Price-wise, I have £25 per hour to spend on this. Ideally lessons would take place at my humble abode in Wimbledon (apparently I make tea like horse piddle, but squash and biscuits will be provided). I can travel to you if needs be, so long as you're somewhere close to a station within half an hour of Wimbledon. Any takers? Shoot me a pm if you're interested and we'll go from there. Looking to start ASAP. Cheers Scott
4.
Bump
What are you after trades-wise mate? I'm also in South West London and am pod-curious.
5. I purchased the Zoom B2.1U mentioned above from Dandini (seems safe to assume it's the same one, how many Zoom's can one man need). Fast and friendly replies to my questions, and the pedal arrived securely packed. I'd happily do business with Dan again.
6.
Did the X&M go in the end?
The X&M had to go back to SFX for a repair, but Martinski has called dibs on it when it returns in full working order. I can give you a shout if things don't work out as planned, but it's looking like a done deal at the moment. Cheers Scott
7. Payment received for the XXL, it'll be on it's way to pastures new first thing tomorrow. Now then, would anybody care for a TonePress? Or how about a Demonizer?
8. X&M is on hold, but I still have a Demonizer, XXL and TonePress to go. Bump for offers?
9. Upsy daisy! Open to offers here, particularly cash offers.
10. Couple of interesting trade offers on the TonePress and Demonizer, but I could really do with the cash at the minute. Bumping for offers, especially if you were after more than one item.
11. Bump for offers? Seriously, having one of these handy at rehearsals boosts your productivity immeasurably. Lots of words ending with a y.
12. Hey all, Come September I'm going to be studying, so just starting to look into getting decent sounds out of a portable rig. I've got a pretty light 5er and a Genz benz Shuttle 6.0 head already, so now I'm just missing effects. Really, I can only imagine myself using it for adding dirt, the occasional delay or funky filter. What I'm really after though is probably best described as analogue controls (IE, no need to get buried in layers of menues, dedicated knobs wherever possible). If you could use the box blindfolded and didn't need to watch stuff scroll by on a piddly little display to get things done, that would nail it. I do seem to remember the first few Pods heading along the right lines for what I'm after, but having spent quite a bit of time with them back in the day (and plenty of time with Line 6 stuff on guitar since) I find the sound of them a bit muddy/lifeless, plus I'm hoping to scale down the size a bit here too. Any recommendations? Whatcha got? Cheers Scott
13. Hi all, Two of Olympus's top line recorders up for grabs here that I need to get shifted to pick up my dream distortion. Olympus LS-11: - Records in either uncompressed WAV, MP3 or WMA formats - 8GB onboard memory, expandable via SD card - 20 hours battery life, runs on 2 AAs - Transfers via USB2.0 - Box, manual, accessories (case, windshields and remote) all included, this is in mint condition. Looking for £155 delivered, or £150 collected from South West London. Olympus LS-10: - Records in uncompressed WAV, MP3 or WMA - 2GB onboard memory, expandable via SSD (maximum card size of 16GB) - 20 hours battery life (runs on 2 AAs) - Some signs of use (a few light scratches on the back, display is mint though) - Case, windshields and a 4GB SD card included - USB port on the recorder seems to have stopped working, but if you record to the card and transfer using any cheapo card reader it still works a treat Looking for £85 delivered, or £80 collected from South West London (bargain price due to dodgy USB connection). Any questions, just shout. Scott
14.
Helllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooo VT bassss??
Bum, somehow I forgot to set the thread up to send me email notification of replies, so only just seen your posts Jack. The VT Bass already found a new home via Gumtree. Sorry fella!
15. Just taken delivery of a pedal from Jon and everything is as expected. Fast and friendly PM's throughout the transaction, as charming a northerner as one could hope to virtually meet There was a mix up on the first sending attempt, but he offered me the choice between a refund or a quicker postage service for take 2. I chose the latter, and wouldn't hesitate to trade with him again.
16. Updated the original post with more info and a sale price... bumpity bump.

18. Bump - still here, still trading, still after 35 scale dark things.
19. Thanks Chris, I'll have a look at interparcel first thing in the morning. Mr Sansamp has to leave London by Monday afternoon, so if anybody else has pearls of wisdom, type away! Cheers all Scott
20. Bought an EBS MultiComp from Ian today. The pedal and packaging were both exactly as described, everything working as expected when I got it home too. Can't fault the transaction at all - it was painless and speedy. Cheers Ian!
21. Hi all, Just flogged my Sansamp PSA-1 to a chap in Ireland. For anybody who's not clapped eyes on one, it's a 1u rack unit, so bigger than any pedal I've posted before. Weight is spot on 3 KG including packaging. Anybody got any advice on a good compromise between price/speed/safety to get this over to Ireland, preferably trackable to appease the fella it's going to (he's a first time buyer so I'd like to give him as smooth a ride as possible while he waits)? So far, Royal Mail quoted me £54 as their cheapest trackable option, that hurt. Something like DHL Europlus service seems too cheap to be true at £16 ish, and they have an alarming "currently enjoy a 90% delivery rate" line in the explanation which scares the bejeebers out of me... what happens to the other 10%! Any advice appreciated, I'm a confused newb at this point. Scott
