1. You what?!!!

Jim's got a helluva collection of basses. I've played this one and it's my favourite (of his!) by far! Don't be put off by the fan frets. As soon as it's in your hands, it's not a consideration. You don't adjust to it after a few minutes. You adjust to it immediately! I love this bass. Jim, will you take £50? :-)

  2. I'm in the very enviable position of having purchased a few amps as I have come to realise that there's no way to make a decision on an amp in-store. So, as I reject them, they're coming up for sale here. This is the next one, the TC Electronics RH750.

The amp is literally brand new in the box having only been taken out to compare to the other heads in a like-for-like situation. All manuals and warranty documentation are available. The RC4 footswitch and the gigbag have not even been used! I got them all together in a bundle deal.

I am asking just £750 for the head or £850 for the head with footswitch and gigbag. This gives you a very good saving on buying from a shop yet you're still buying a brand new amp. The footswitch and gigbag are for sale separately unless the buyer of the head doesn't want them. I am not interested in trades thanks,

Collection from Ruislip, NW London (close to M1/M40/M25) or can courier for £10.00.

  3. Seen the vids. Looks and sounds good. I'm wary of it not having a tone control. Any comments from users as to whether it's required?

  4.
If I was closer!!!!!
Nottingham's only an hour and three quarters from me... We could always meet in the middle - probably around junction 12 of the M1 or wherever there's a convenient services? Alternatively I can get a courier quote?
This would be so nice for my back and would no doubt sound great with my old Trace AH350X. Sadly, the asking is a little high for me. I'll keep watching though!
I'm only 5'6" and a half (don't forget the half!), don't go to the gym and I can lift it with one hand! It's being advertised at less than 60% of the new price and is in virtually new condition so it sounds pretty fair to me! :) And, with the price of Neo rising I reckon the buyer will always be able to get his (or her!) money back on this.

I'm in the very enviable position of having purchased a few amps as I have come to realise that there's no way to make a decision on an amp in-store. So, as I reject them, they'll be coming up for sale here. This is the first, the Ampeg PF500. Great value. Great features. Gives you the Ampeg sound. But it's just not for me.

The amp is literally brand new in the box having only been taken out to compare to the other heads in a like-for-like situation. All manuals and warranty documentation are available.

I want to get £SOLD for it please which gives you a reasonable saving on buying from a shop and you're still buying a brand new amp.

Collection from Ruislip, NW London (close to M1/M40/M25) or can courier for £10.00.

Very rare Zoot ZB410 cabinet. In excellent condition as I bought it on a whim having been bowled over by the sounds and the weight at a show. I haven't been playing in a band :-( so it has seen (very occasional) home use only which means it's in virtually brand new condition. These originally cost over £700. And, with Neo cabs all but disappearing due to the rising price of neodymium, this could make a very shrewd investment... 4-Ohm rating means you can draw the maximum power out of most heads. 1200W handling allows it to be paired safely with virtually any head without any fear of overpowering. Adjustable tweeter.

    Dimensions: 64cm high, 44cm deep, 61cm wide, Weight: 23.5kg (51.7lbs).

Spiel from the manufacturer: Zoot Bass Guitar cabinets are hand built in the UK. Constructed from an ultra light-weight high grade birch plywood developed exclusively for Zoot. The design blends top of the range custom Celestion neo drivers, Eminence tweeter and Eminence crossovers that guarantee fantastic sound and sensitivity, Zoot bass are highly acclaimed manufacturers of Bass Guitars and have applied the same Bass Guitar experience to produce a great sounding 4x10" cab that weighs less than 23.5kg. Other features include Gig resistant carpeted covering, high impact plastic corners, recessed carry handles, tough metal grille.
"Excellent value for money try and find a lighter 4x10 that has a comparable heavyweight sound."

I'm asking a very reasonable £425.00. Collection preferred from Ruislip, NW London. Close to M1/M40/M25.

  7. Fed up with emulation and modelling?!! Get yourself the real deal! Ampeg SVTIIP preamp, widely considered to sound better than its successor, the 'Pro'. Features all the classic Ampeg features: footswitchable graphic EQ, Ultra Hi and Ultra Lo, Selectable mid frequency, DI out, all tube design and AWESOME TONE!!!

Since Ampeg stopped making separate preamps, these things are going up in value so, if you look after it, you should never lose your money. I haven't got round to taking photos yet, but you know what it looks like! For those that need reminding, it's the same as this one:

If you're desperate, I can get photos uploaded. The preamp is in good condition with just a small amount of scratching commensurate with its age.

£350 please. Collection from Ruislip, North West London, or can courier for £10.

  8.
Sold my Behringer last year on here for £15. That was fair, too.
...and yours was, of course, in absolutely brand new and boxed condition like mine. I think you'll also find that prices have gone up in the intervening period thanks to exchange rates...

Is it normal etiquette around here to post comments about prices if you have no intention of buying?!! :) As previously stated, the two remaining pedals ar indistiguishable from new and my prices represent a fair saving. It is up to someone to decide whether or not they agree with that. If they do, they can post here or PM me. If they don't, they can move on and should feel no need to hijack the thread. And I'll happily keep the pedals or Ebay them for a higher price.

I think I'll let this thread die....

  9.
RE the BDI, is it still available? would you be willing to meet up in central london to do the deal? with this postal strike...you know lol
Hi, yes, it's still available. But I don't much fancy the prospect of a 2-hour round-trip to meet up once I've got in and out of tube stations, changed trains, put up with delays, battled with sweaty commuters etc etc etc! You'll either need to pay for postage or come out to me I'm afraid!

  10.
RE LS2;

One just sold for £45 inc. postage further down the page, so would you entertain an offer for the same amount?

    Bank transfer of Paypal gift.

    cheers

    D.
Sorry, but LS-2 is now sold. I'd rather agree a fair price or hold on to the pedals rather than give them away! :)
