I played a G&L Tribute M-2000 at the gallery t'other day. Compared it to a L-2500 and EB Stingray, and I have to say it was a lot nicer sounding and very powerful. They're really amazing basses!
+1 on this. I much prefer the M2000 to the L2000.

I have two as well, never short of power, and light as a breeze..

I wouldalmost be temted, as I want to add a third, as preparation for when I finally get a DB751..
Go on, you know you want to! :P

In all seriousness, I've long thought that three 1x12's would be the perfect rig: modular, easy to transport and it brings the sound up near ear level. Plus it would look the dogs... :D Sadly, most heads (mine included) only go down to 4 ohms...

  3. These Aguilar SL112's are, by some margin, the best 1x12 cabs I have ever had the pleasure of playing through. They sound fantastic regardless of how much they weigh. The fact that each cab is light enough that you can literally lift one with your little finger is just a bonus.

The cabs have had very little use, evidenced by their condition which is as new. They come complete with the (pricey!) Aguilar fitted and padded covers which fit easily and snugly over each cab. I simply don't have the time nor opportunity to use the cabs and I cannot justify keeping them given that they are far from cheap cabs.

These go for £650-£700 each new so I'm asking what I think is an extremely fair price of just £SOLD for each cab. The covers are available separately for £SOLD each (they're £70 new).

I have the original boxes for the cabs in the garage so could, in theory, courier them if desired. It won't be cheap as the cardboard boxes are huge and would be classed as oversize. It would probably be about £12 or £15 delivery for each cab.

Far better to collect, if possible, from Ruislip, HA4, close to A40 (Polish War Memorial), M40/M25 interchange or M1 Junction 5. Also just 5 minutes walk from Eastcote tube station on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines (yes, these are light enough to take home on the train!).

  5. Very rare and sought-after double gigbag from Ibanez. It's in urgent need of repair which is reflected in the price. If you (or your missus :P ) is handy with a needle and thread then this is a bargain. Manufacturer's info:

  6. Just taken out of my Euro Spector. Said to be the closest (affordable!) thing to the famed Haz Labs circuit. Contrary to popular belief, this circuit is NOT boost only - it allows a degree of cut too (see specs below). This is the new version with the output trimpot so you can set the output level to match other basses.

    From the Spector website:
The TonePump™ active tone control is used in our Europe Series™ basses (EuroLX™, ReBopDLX™). They can be used with active or passive pickups. There is an Output Trim Pot on the unit to adjust overall bass output as needed. Includes the TonePump™ with tone pots already wired to it, and wiring diagram.

• Uses 9V battery

• Power consumption 1,2mA

• Battery life app 420 h, up to 1000 h when using hq alkaline battery

• Basic gain +12dB

• Controls:

Bass: +14dB/-4dB @55Hz

Treble: +14dB/-12dB @6,5kHz

Made in our Czech Republic Factory
Wiring Diagrams available here: http://www.spectorgu...rt/service.html

I am also including the original Spector control knobs (see photo)

Can post for just £3.00 or preamp can be collected from Ruislip, North West London (HA4). Close to M1, M40, M25, A40.

  7. Great little chorus pedal which works particularly well on bass thanks to its effect level control which determines how much of the dry signal will be effected. In this way you can keep a strong fundamental, if desired, while blending in chorus effect on top.

Very small. Very cute. Very effective.

In great condition, boxed with instructions. Pretty much as new other than the label on the underside of the pedal which was removed and then reapplied.

Can deliver for just £3.00 or pedal can be collected from Ruislip (HA4) close to M1, M40, M25, A40 and just a few minutes' walk from Eastcote tube station.

  8. MXR Bass Compressor in excellent condition. No scratches. No box, I'm afraid. Pretty much as new otherwise. Widely regarded as one of the finest, if not the finest, compressor pedal for bass. True studio quality compression in a convenient pedal format.

Will post in the UK for £5.00. Otherwise pedal can be collected from Ruislip (HA4) in North West London close to M1, M25, M40, A40 and just a few minutes walk from Eastcote tube station.

  9. Mint condition, boxed and pretty much as new, Darkglass B3K. Widely regarded as the best overdrive/distortion pedal for bass.

This is one of the rare and coveted Made in Finland versions. What does that mean? That means, other than the obvious location at which it was put together, it was built lovingly by hand by Darkglass owner and founder Douglas Castro. It is numbered inside. Douglas no longer makes pedals himself and, as his company grows, so will the value of this pedal as collectors look to snap up one of the originals made by Douglas.

If you've not seen it, he posted a fascinating Youtube video showing him making a pedal. You can see it here:
