1.
...now if only somebody would buy my Stingray.
What Stingray is it?
 2.
Does the 55-01 come with a case? Also, without meaning to sound rude, am I missing something? The retail price for a new 55-01 at the moment, after a quick search, appears to be cheaper than this second-hand one you have listed here... I'm not well-informed on Laklands, and was just wondering if there was something I wasn't aware of.
This 2005 bass has been upgraded with Nordstrand 'Fat Stacks' which are amazing in humbucking or single coil and a US bartolini preamp which is much better/flexible than the stock Asian one. Cosmetically the bass has a Tortoise pickguard and USA black hipshot ultralite tuners, Black String Tree, black Schaller strap locks and some black metal knobs, ala Aguilar/Sadowsky/Fodera. Make me an offer!

This bass is also in very good condition, it has some slight belt buckle scratches but they can't be photographed as they're so small and some small scratches on the top horn but again aren't noticeable. 7. Anyone want to take my RH450 + Foot switch off my hands for the very reasonable price of £650 + shipping (or free collection). 11. I use Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings on my 34" scale Stingray 5 and I'm really happy with them, I know that they are not evryone's cup of tea but for me they are great. I am looking for a spare bass, possibly a Lakland which of course is 35" scale and I am wondering if the EB Reg slinky's are going to be long enough. At present on my Stingray the windings on the B string go about 20mm past the nut which presumably on a 35" scale bass with through body stringing would leave them short?? Has anyone else come across this issue, maybe I'm worrying about nothing but I dont want to buy a new bass then have to go through a whole range of new strings to find something I like. Any comments would be helpfull. Thanks J
 12. Will consider a trade for a Lakland 55-02.......
 13.
These are FAB !! Ive had one and they are very high quality instruments. They were Yam's top 5 stringer back then, superbly built, and everything was top notch from the quilted maple to the ebony fingerboard to the NE preamp which gives a range of good tones. Not a raw rock bass but does smooth pure and sophisticated in spades. Lovely smooth finished fingerboard, I found mine an absolute delight to play. PS Youve got some nasty looking dings on the fence there........nothing too much on the bass though. PPS have I earnt my pint yet ?
A pint plus a chaser!! lol
