A lovely 80's made in Japan Ibanez Musican bass complete with a Hiscox flight case.
This bass is extremely well built and features neck through construction, 24 fret ebony board, lightweight hardware and active electronics. It plays wonderfully with a recent set of Ernie Ball flats and a med/low action. It sounds great!
Bad points are it has some superficial lacquer checking/dings/missing finish etc but nothing out of the ordinary for an instrument that has been used for 40 years or so! Also the bridge pickup seems to have a lower output than the neck for some reason. With the pickup pan pot balanced or favouring the neck you'd never notice it, but mentioning for clarity. I have considered modernising the pickups/preamp but IMO it sounds great as it is.
A wonderful instrument.

Just realised I didn't label this as being a Fender!
I think I might have a plan for this, so withdrawing if it doesn't go this weekend 👍

(2.9kg/6.4lb!) sounds really hard to believe.
You'll have to send it to me so that I can confirm what you say. A few months should be OK.😉😉
GLWTS (you won't need it!!)
Sounds reasonable 😁

That is a really good looking bass, the woods are great and that weight is unbelievable.
Thanks, it's quite something.

Now £1395!
Spector Euro RST in the wonderful Sienna finish up for grabs. This bass manages to be both unbelievably light (6.2lb!) while still feeling extremely solid and 'proper'. I've had light basses that feel like toys, this is not one of them! It features Aguilar pickups and an Aguilar preamp for some serious punch. Being Aguilar they also produce a nice vintage tone when required, especially with the neck pickup favoured and a slight treble cut. Both pickups on full with some bass and treble boost will send you to slap heaven.
It has been gigged so is showing small signs of use, but it is in fantastic condition overall. It comes in a nice Spector gig bag.
Collection from Margate or I can box it up securely if you'd like to arrange collection.

Right, I've had a sort out this morning and I can include a flight case, schaller strap locks and a nice leather Levy's strap if anyone fancies this?
I'll add some pics later 👍

Maybe your replicant character in the parallel universe plays Warwick
Possibly, and If he does he'll definitely be thinking he should get a real Spector instead.

I doubt you will, but if you ever decide on breaking up the parts I'd definitely be interested in the body 👍
Hopefully it'll go to a good home in one piece, unless someone else wants just the neck?

If this is one of the earlier Made In Indonesia "VM" series - then it's a great bass for the money.
I had one, and it was well made, and the original pickups sounded pretty good too (although this one should sound better, obviously).
I seem to recall the neck was slightly narrower than typical P basses, yet slightly wider than a Jazz?
Also, I seem to recall the neck feeling nice & silky smooth, and the bass being fairly lightweight....
Not sure whether that is Shorline Gold - but looks nice anyway. Great bass for this sort of cash - great backup too.
GLWTSThanks for the comments, it was made in Indonesia and has the silky smooth and slim neck 👍

What is the colour, photos vary somewhat?
I'm pretty sure it's shoreline gold.

Thanks chaps. I'd be keeping it if it wasn't for the inevitable backup upgrade GAS...

Squier Precision Standard up for grabs. I purchased this bass as a backup after I had a bass fail on me at a festival gig! Needless to say I've raided my spares drawer and upgraded it in the following ways: Custom Jess Loureiro P pickup, Kiogon solderless wiring loom, Wilkinson bridge with brass saddles and white strat knobs. It's been well gigged over the years and is showing signs of use, but it's ageing nicely and feels very much broken in. The volume pots can be slightly scratchy if not used for a while (they were like this from new) but a few turns usually rectifies this.
Collection/trial in Margate or I can box it up if you'd like to arrange a courier.

Ibanez SR675 up for grabs. This bass has been made to an extremely high standard in Korea and offers amazing value for money. It's lightweight and compact but sounds absolutely monstrous with it's Bartolini pickups and custom Ibanez preamp. It plays effortlessly well with a nice low action which makes chopping and changing between traditional 4 string basses and this a total breeze.
Now includes the flight case, leather Levy's strap and Schaller strap locks pictured below.
Collection/trial in Margate preferred, or I can box it up if you'd like to arrange collection 👍

This was provisionally sold for £450 but the buyer had to pull out. Therefore I'm going to offer it up for the same price if a BCer is after an absolutely stonking 70's sounding jazz bass in a lightweight and exceptionally well built package??
