Thanks for that. I'll be very interested to see how much it weighs. :)

I make it 7lb 8oz on bathroom scales

That is very nice indeed.

I have googled but can't find th info - is the body scaled down or same size as a regular T Bird? Can you accurately weigh it please? And does having a shorter neck mean no neck dive!? :)
Hi Paul
I forgot how rare these are no there isn't much about them on the Internet so I'll share what I can.

Yes there's no neck dive :) and the body is pretty much same size as the long scale thunderbird...it's not a small bass , same overall length as my old style 50s p bass . Scale is 30.5 . mahogany neck and body in satin finish but set neck (not through neck so you don't have the central ridge in the body) same pick ups and electrics as the 34" , but because of the shorter scale the neck pick up is closer to the fingerboard...because of this you can also get eb type tones as well as the thunderbird type sound.
Very useable range of tones you can get from it.
On this and short scale basses generally you tend to get more bass fundamental but obviously less upper harmonic overtones .
It's not heavy but I'll try to weigh it later tonight or tomorrow .

Hi nice limelight jazz , I was wondering if the bass is pickup only or would you consider sending it via a courier?
hi Bryan ,I'd happily courier it ,but you'd have to give me time to get packing materials together to make it safe .

5. Really nice bass ,old candy apple red, ,reverse tuners, matching headstock, clay dots, mint green pickguard ,i really like the colour and relic job/feel, plays and sounds great too...has some fairly light elites strings on which may not be to everyones taste. No noise from electrics/or pick ups.
No hardcase but i'll include a decent quality gig bag.
Took this in a two bass trade deal, but i dont need a jazz right now really ,(and got my eye on something)otherwise it wouldn't be going anywhere

Now Sold

@Beedster - what I know is that it is a 54 Reissue - I'm not sure about it being a '60s Telecaster Bass. Anybody an expert on this?
Im no expert but i think all the Tele basses were slab bodies and the 54/55 were contoured.
If its contoured it would probably be the japanese "version" of a 54 (OPB-54) the body contours and neck profile are different to original 54/55 and custom shop reissues as i believe are the pick-up size/shape (but others may know different?) dont think they had flowered 50s basses though so maybe its a bit of both eras .
Looks in great condition glwts
