I have a Sandberg basic 5 that I believe has the first maple fingerboard that Sandberg made, as I asked for it, through the (now extinct) shop that had a dealership. It was custom made... 

I love the shape & feel of this bass, even though the neck is quite wide ... I was used to playing a Music Man Stingray 5 before.... It was lighter and perfect for for my needs at the time, I was gigging in different countries and was flying often... I did find the stock pickup a little bland.. & swapped it for an Aguilar MM .. which is definitely warmer sounding... My tech guy thinks Sandberg are nothing special, but an obvious marketing success.. I like my basic 5 but it's not my go to bass these days.. cute though! 

I stuck some ' boiled' D'Addario EXL170-5 (so not even new)  on mine & the tone is pretty good.. neck pup blended in a bit stronger.. is my preference. 

Not my favourite bass in my collection but fun and usable... for the right occasion 👽

They are not the easiest basses to make playable...shim needed, bridge is a bit cheap but I'm not going to replace it.. the strings it comes with are utter pants! Pups are actually not bad, although they look & feel cheap.. action down to something playable.. string spacing is a little narrow for my liking ... but it is quite fun! Got a photo shoot for a 'Space Rock' band coming up... it's got to be part of that! 👽🤘🕉️

My guitar luthier has worked hard on this bass... it was a bit of a mess tbh!

Wigfest cancer charity, Somerset, backing a great new young artist, Ruby Polli, Weston super mare, a bohemian birthday party for 'Ian in wonderland!', Burnham on sea, party in the park... 

A lot of fun had by all... glad to be involved 😊

The day after each.. made them all 'last nights gig!' 🤔

That's it! ... RB760! .. thanks.. I sold that bass in a seriously good flight case..to pay an outstanding Lecky bill! because I had no choice at the time...

👍... Yes, it does appear to be but the pups were a small single coil at the bridge and a chunky humbucker style at the neck.. maybe a cheaper version of the RB750BK at the bottom? .. 

I used to have an ibanez bass back in the 80s that had a unique shape.

Not sure what model it was...can anyone identify it from this pretty poor photo?

I've got a lot of love for ibanez ATK basses.. my 5 string is my most 'go to' bass, still..

Blimey!... Literally just arrived! Expected arrival date was Oct 17th!!!

It's playable but needs a decent set up..

Tone is quite impressive at a first twiddle too... 

Mine appears to be even slower!... Just gone through customs in China..Now the ETA is October 17th! ..But apparently on a plane, 25th August... that's positive! ..I hope?

I love GS112 cabs, hard to find in good condition these days and I bet the AG700 is awesome through them!

The GS range is my favourite sounding Aguilar cabs.. I had a pair of 12's with various heads over the years..then stupidly sold them because I was romanced by the lure of SL12s being lighter..

Soon found out that they were totally not my sound at all.. so eventually sold them & found someone selling 2 pristine hardly used ones.... Bought them for the same price as my original new ones! Win win!!

I've recently got serious G.A.S. for a transparent body bass!..  the Dan Armstrong ones from the 60's/70's look very cool... but are pretty pricey these days....  recently, Serek make one that looks a little like a Gibson Grabber bass...

I don't actually need another bass! I mainly play 5 string these days & the only acrylic option, as far as I can tell, are the Chinese, unbranded ones... has anyone had any experience of the Chinese basses?

Love this bass!......  the aria fretless acoustic is a real gem!... designed to actually sound fat.. with a big body....

... I really like it.. My first proper bass was an Aria P bass copy.. & it was built better than the real thing to be honest ...So I was willing to give this a proper look....

really like it... & it has f holes!... It sounds great & it's not that expensive....

Any other love for the Aria FEBFLUFFEN
