I wouldn't mind my expectations being exceeded in that way! 😆
It's not what you know, it's who you know.

I give hugs freely all the time. Apart from the wallet and purse extraction bit.

Indeed it would appear that Jaydee have become less diverse in recent years, with Calibas and Celeste models whicha offered 5 and 6 string options, no longer advertised on their website. Guess that is not where the typical Jaydee customer wants to go.
I had a six string Celeste, the neck dive was incredible. Six elephant ear tuners and that neck.
I also had a Supernatural during the '80s, but the neck seemed to change shape every time I took it out of the case. The chap who bought it from me didn't have it for long either.

Not sure why Sting would be surprised, he's credited as a songwriter.
The article may be online but I think it was in Q magazine. So maybe not. It exceeded his expectations, put it that way.

"And in the death
As the last few corpses lay rotting on the slimy thoroughfare
The shutters lifted in inches in Temperance Building
High on Poacher's Hill
And red, mutant eyes gaze down on Hunger City
No more big wheelsFleas the size of rats sucked on rats the size of cats
And ten thousand peoploids split into small tribes
Coverting the highest of the sterile skyscrapers
Like packs of dogs assaulting the glass fronts of Love-Me Avenue
Ripping and rewrapping mink and shiny silver fox, now legwarmers
Family badge of sapphire and cracked emerald
Any day now
The Year of the Diamond DogsThis ain't Rock'n'Roll
This is Genocide..." -
"Which string are you needing?"
"It's the second thinnest one."

IIRC Dire Straits were recording Money For Nothing at the same studio Sting was using at the time, so they asked him to sing that little part on the intro. For which he received a cheque later down the line for one million quid. Which he was quite surprised at.

The primary function of corporate business is to increase profits and market share.
That's it.

He could have played the gig with three strings, but then you should expect a few sauerkrauts.

Indeed. You don't have to look too far to see that in action right now.

Do what McCartney used to do back in the days, snip one out of the club piano.

At this point in time, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The hopeless narcissism is going to do for us anyway, and pretty much everything else.

I didn't get past the "This article is more than 8 years old" at the top of the page.
Indeed. You'll find it quite a bit worse now.

If you're going to use nothing but quotes, at least make them accurate. If you start completely changing their point willy-nilly, your 'argument' instantly loses all credibility. You may as well change all their "will"s to "won't"s and "is"s to "isn't"s. In fact, how do we know that you haven't?
They need updating. We have surpassed America in that respect...

I think I will call it a day with any further discussion as you are a bit all over the place with sources, references, time lines etc
Go and have a nice lie down. You're running out of excuses.

And how does that address the wider global issue? The economic issues are not down to a single government or even country. You also have just gone off on another tangent.
Bit of a "Look! A Squirrel!" post.
