When you consider what constitutes a 'celebrity' these days then Kylie is certainly a legend.

My advice, if you plan on using the same strap on several basses is to get the buttons too and keep them somewhere safe. You never know when you’ll need them - take it from me I spent ages trying to find one half and then ages trying to find the other half (different locks) so it might be worth getting the set!
Good advice. I think I'm beginning to realise that. Thanks!

Sounds like an items wanted post.
Not really. The S-locks are very new and so it's unlikely that anyone will be selling just the strap lock part especially when I want a gold set.

Does anyone know anywhere that I can purchase the new Schaller S-lock without having to buy the strap button? I want to keep the original Schaller buttons on my basses but rather like the new S-Locks.

Nope!
It's been on purpose for years!
As a new Sandberg owner I had no idea it was intentional. A nice wee bonus.

Just noticed today that a Schaller strap lock fits very nicely onto the standard Sandberg strap button on my California II TT4. Is this coincidence I ask myself?

This is a remarkable price for this bass. I have two precisions already otherwise I would be very interested. If this doesn’t sell at this price then we might as well forget this forum as a place to sell.
-
Definitely go for the Fender. Also, if you ever plan on selling the bass then the Fender is far more marketable than the Shuker.

I have one of each of these cases, they're both tougher than gig padded gig bags but not as heavy and bulky as a full flight case. Both are well made and fit my TT4 perfectly;
Both are great cases. If anything I prefer to the cheaper Protection racket one, it's every bit as well made and offers the same level of protection as the Contego but the zip seems a tad smoother and it has adjustable inserts that you can move about that fit into the contours of the bass body to stop it moving around.
Many thanks for this. I’ll have a look at these.

Best case for the money IMHO.
A strat/tele case?

No idea about hardcases I'm afraid, both mine live in the Sandberg gig bags they came in.
Thanks for the reply. I will post pics in due course. I take my pics outside and the weather hasn’t been great. Watch this space.👍

I have just taken delivery of a Sandberg California II TT4. Does anyone know of a hardcase that is a good fit?
-
I would also guard against using parcel2go. I was expecting a bass to come on next day delivery but, despite this service being paid for, it wasn’t delivered until late the day after it was meant to arrive. I couldn’t contact parcel2go as they do not display contact details. I will not use them again.
-
What I don't understand is why pay parcelforce for 24HR delivery when they take 48HR. If I pay for 48HR will they deliver on time or will it take 72HRs. I might as well pay for 48HR and hope for the best.

Thanks for that man. I knew there must be a simple answer.

I am interested to see that posts can be bumped without having to post a Bump or TTT post. Posts seem to get to the top but the last post which can be days old is the latest post. Can someone tell me how this is done please.

Up for sale is my Limelight '57' Precision. The colour is faded Candy Apple Red as appropriate to a '57' which has been around for sixty years. This is the lightest relic job that Limelight has done and it is extremely pretty. All hardware is age appropriate with the pickups being wound by Limelight themselves to replicate a '57' sound. A bonus with this sale is a G&G Fender tweed case which is in excellent condition. The bass is strung with a new set of Thomastik TI flatwounds. This bass plays and sounds superb and will make someone very happy. I offered this bass for sale a couple of months ago but then withdrew it as it was pointed out to me that the neck could do with a tweak to bring it into alignment. That has now been done and so the bass is up for sale again.
Price includes shipping to UK mainland. Trades considered.
Candy Apple Red over silver/white
Hand rolled finger board
Black dots
Ultra Light relic – as per pictures
Maple P width neck
Gold annodised scratchplate
Period correct 1957 Fender Precision logo
Thumb rest below strings.
All metal work VERY lightly tarnished
Reverse Gotoh Tuners
Strap button on reverse of headstock
Thomastik Flatwound
Nickel schaller strap buttons
Vintage wiring
Switchcraft Jack
CTS pots and Spraque cap
Alder body

I have done quite a lot of business with classic and cool. Mark is a true gent and very easy to deal with. Prices are more than you would expect to pay here which is understandable as Mark is running a business. Trade deals can be good depending on what you are trading. All in all it is well worth contacting Mark and having a chat with him. Classic and Cool is also the home of Limelight basses.

If this doesn’t sell for this money then I will lose all faith in the market. What an exceptional bass for the asking price.
