    My advice, if you plan on using the same strap on several basses is to get the buttons too and keep them somewhere safe. You never know when you’ll need them - take it from me I spent ages trying to find one half and then ages trying to find the other half (different locks) so it might be worth getting the set!

    Good advice. I think I'm beginning to realise that. Thanks!

    I have one of each of these cases, they're both tougher than gig padded gig bags but not as heavy and bulky as a full flight case. Both are well made and fit my TT4 perfectly;

    Protection racket

    Protec Contego

    Both are great cases. If anything I prefer to the cheaper Protection racket one, it's every bit as well made and offers the same level of protection as the Contego but the zip seems a tad smoother and it has adjustable inserts that you can move about that fit into the contours of the bass body to stop it moving around.

    Many thanks for this. I’ll have a look at these.

    No idea about hardcases I'm afraid, both mine live in the Sandberg gig bags they came in.

    Thanks for the reply. I will post pics in due course. I take my pics outside and the weather hasn’t been great. Watch this space.👍

  4. I would also guard against using parcel2go. I was expecting a bass to come on next day delivery but, despite this service being paid for, it wasn’t delivered until late the day after it was meant to arrive. I couldn’t contact parcel2go as they do not display contact details. I will not use them again.

  5. Up for sale is my Limelight '57' Precision. The colour is faded Candy Apple Red as appropriate to a '57' which has been around for sixty years. This is the lightest relic job that Limelight has done and it is extremely pretty. All hardware is age appropriate with the pickups being wound by Limelight themselves to replicate a '57' sound. A bonus with this sale is a G&G Fender tweed case which is in excellent condition. The bass is strung with a new set of Thomastik TI flatwounds. This bass plays and sounds superb and will make someone very happy. I offered this bass for sale a couple of months ago but then withdrew it as it was pointed out to me that the neck could do with a tweak to bring it into alignment. That has now been done and so the bass is up for sale again.

    Price includes shipping to UK mainland. Trades considered.

  6. I have done quite a lot of business with classic and cool. Mark is a true gent and very easy to deal with. Prices are more than you would expect to pay here which is understandable as Mark is running a business. Trade deals can be good depending on what you are trading. All in all it is well worth contacting Mark and having a chat with him. Classic and Cool is also the home of Limelight basses.
