Best Octaver?

It's long been one of my favourite 'must-have' fx for my style of playing, but I'm tiring of the lower frequency artefacts from my Line 6 lowdown. I enjoy the random nature of the additional wobbles from time to time, but it's a head-done-in feature when tight control is required. For some time now I've wanted something close to a hybrid tone of that 'Sledgehammer' sound from the Gabriel track and the timeless chorusy brilliance of Barry Adamson in his magazine days - but how best to get close. Suggestions/tips/advice most welcome guys!
2. A shot of the rear to illustrate the 5p sized ding to the rear - it's close to the rear strap button
3. There are minor signs of wear and tear - wee scratches and minor dings. otherwise it's in fine condition and sounds an awful lot like the classic Fender Precision.
4. The sale I'd agreed with this collapsed in a chain - yep, two collapsed deals in two weeks! So it's back up for grabs - and also on eBay. £300 delivered with a decent gig-bag - haggling welcome. More pics to follow.
5.
I have a friend who had a Ric 4001, year: 1979. Are you interested?
Check your PM's
6. A sale agreed to is unable to complete - so this is still up for grabs.
7.
Having traded with Anndra in the past everybody should feel very confident that the bass is exactly as it appears in these superb shots. Thorough gentleman to deal with. Have no worries all you Ric 4003 owners!
Thank-you Sir! How's life treating you in the far north?
8. Hi Romu, and thanks, but I'd rather sell or trade for a Rickenbacker 4003 + some cash. Cheers
9. Hi guys - despite some decent offers, I still have the bass. I'd be very interested in a trade for a Ric 4003 if said Ric is in mint condition with some money coming my way. Not a huge amount of money either!
10.
Any interest in my Bartolini equipped Dean for trade? Link is in my signature. I could possibly drop to a straight swap. Edit: just seen you want maple so perhaps you aren't that interested but let me know anyway!
Thanks for the offer, but I'm really holding out for either a swap for a jazz or a sale.
11.
Am I the only one who thinks that the photography is stunning without the models? Great looking bass mate hope you get what you're looking for.
Cheers, Wayne, just trying to make the best of the photo's with or without the models. It's easier without, but more fun with. Like much of life with women I suspect.
12.
Argh.....why don't i have some mapleneck bass....beauty=) Good luck with the sell
I'll happily accept cash
13. Send me a fiver to cover delivery and I'll give you two free plecs.
14. In an effort to sell - I'll include the bass being delivered with a gig-bag. And a free plectrum.
