2.
Not really into them mate, but thanks for the offer!
If you insured it and would send it to the USA you would have had your cash in hand. I have heard the stories of bad shipping nightmares. Yet I have had great luck with fedex from and to UK. If you change your mind about shipping let me know please. I have the money for you. Pack it well, pay the fedex store to pack it, I will pay for that also. What did you send that was ruined. Did you lose money out of it. If it gets trashed, I am out the money, waiting for insurance. Yeh right, You have the cash anyhow. Sure we are both out a bass but the odds are slim, and you get what you want. Now I thought you were into cash trades right Mate /cheers Steven
 3.
What do you guys think of these basses? If anyone owns one id be really interested in your opinions.
I bought mine when they first came out. I payed $599.99 new @ musiciansfriend, no case, no gigbag at that time. I bought a nice fender vintage tweed to put it in. I must say for the money it is a great buy, I am not a MIJ fan, nor a fender fan, but for some small cash it is a nice bass. You have to play a few of them, some have very thin necks, almost too thin, I found one perfect for me just out of luck. The part I do not like is in the add, which may have changed now but it lists this bass as " Bound maple neck " Cheap or not, if you say it is bound then it is bound, with binding. Unfortunately it is a painted line that "bounds the neck" On the treble side of my bass's neck almost has the binding worn off. HHMM. No biggy, plays great, sounds great, the keep going up in price, they missed the boat from the start. Yet it is much better made then my U.S.A Gibson Alex lifeson es-355, total scam from the start, Look where the volute starts on that guitar, I want a speed bump at every frett. $3800.00 bucks and there is better quality in a $700.00 PRS or a $600 mij fender. =/

 5.
That first review is hilarious! "I called Howard Dumble. Caught him on his cell phone while he was pinching a loaf in his Las Vegas hotel room." "I play the piccolo and drums in a three piece suitcoat of paint band aid. We do all sorts of music from yugoslavic folk ballads to super heavy bloody and gutsy death and gerbil to rectum METAL. Mostly in a religious setting."
I have read that dumble amps are extremely expensive, yet, with that in mind, they are hand wired,of the shelf tubes, and if you buy a combo it is an of the shelf speaker just sanded bare. You have to send him a tape of your playing, and if you are good enough he may build you one. Just plain crazy, since when does being reclusive and arrogant, make your nothing more than average amp so expensive and hard to obtain? Does anyone know what artists use dumble amps? I would be curious to see if anyone still does knowing the "big secret" to these, "amazing amps"! /cheers Steven
 6.
OK,with two important gigs next weekend, rebuilding my mountain bike & subsequently trapping my r/h index finger beween the brake caliper & rotating front brake disc was probably not a good idea. That aside I am now left with a flap of skin & a deep cut in the worst possible place,my daughter seems to think that there is such a product as liquid skin. Any one out there with any knowledge or ideas on how to repair & harden up the end of my damaged plucking finger,I seem to remember reading that stevie ray vaughen used super glue to harden the tips of his fingers, what I don't want is a hideous sceptic mess so only sensible tried & tested ideas please, mike b.
There is New skin and I think bandaid has a version called Liquid bandaid. I have used New skin for years. It is always in my Gig bag. It is distributed by Medtech Labs. It has a 1.800.443.4908 question number. I am not sure if this works the "800# that is"outside the U.S. and my bottle is old, 1.FL.OZ. I usually only see real small bottles and they also have a spray. In the winter, due to raynauds my finger tips split right through until the split bleeds. I use it every night , it helps the wound breath while healing it. I am only speaking for myself but I have had nothing but a great experience with New Skin. I am not sure what I would do without it. I know alot of players use crazy glue with good results but,I do not like the chemicals in it, I am not sure if it is bad or not. If you are right handed perhaps you can get by with your other three fingers. I would think that depends on the type of music of course. The harder the music, the harder it is to "improvise". I use all four fingers and have had to use my ring and pinky on really cold bouts of winter where the wounds just won't heal in time. Best to you , Steven
 7. Hi, Did you check out the Groove tube "fat finger" ? Basically a mass of brass, chrome or brass colour, that clamps on the headstock, claiming to add sustian and do away with dead spots ? I have never tried one but might be the cheapest way to go. Let me know if you find one to try I was always curious. I often wonder why PRS and some other makers are using aluminum, and other lightweight tuners, bridges, ect, If mass = sustian?
