Hi all, Top quality, german-made 5mm Hex/Allen wrench up for grabs. It's an extra long (350mm) t-handle type. Ideal as a truss rod tool - I originally bout this to replace my Warwick truss tool, which fell apart the first time I tried to use it! Sold that Warwick bass now so no need for this tool. Yours for £6 posted.

Hi all, I've got two top quality Planet Waves 2ft patch leads up for grabs. They've double shielded, nice and flexible, with gold plated compression jacks. The build quality on these is superb and they're in mint condition - selling because I never use them! £7.50 each posted. One has green o-rings on the end, the other has yellow rings... take your pick!

Hi all, Good quality padded leather strap up for grabs. 3.75" wide, adjustable from 39-49" in length. It's a Gerald Reese 'slapstrap' - (hilariously naff) website is here: http://www.slapring....o/slapstrap.php It's a good, comfy nappa leather strap... mine's in good condition with a couple of minor modifications to the cable retention system (basically, the strap was designed to be doubled over at the tail end to form a loop for your cable to go through, which isnt very practical because most strap buttons won't accommodate the doubled thickness of the strap. So, I cut off the very last part of the strap where the extra hole is, and made two tiny holes in the larger part of the strap and attached a small piece of cord to form a loop. It looks tidy and is more useful than the original system, but obviously you can just untie and remove my loop if you don't like it) One thing to note is that that the end holes have become enlarged from use, so I'd recommend using strap locks. Otherwise the strap is in pretty good condition, just a couple of small marks on the leather here and there. The RRP on these is $150. Yours for £30 posted to anywhere in the UK. AJ

Pics! Including close-ups of the only flaws worth mentioning, a chip on the truss cover and slight wear above the neck pickup:

Hi all, Though it grieves me, it's time to let go of my beloved Thumb NT. Sale due to financial pressures only, I love this bass! It's in very good condition - the bass was recently been fully sevieced and set up by Martin (SEI bass) at the Gallery, who commented on how well she's been kept. There's a small chip on the truss rod cover (which is replaceable) and if you were to go over the bass with a magnifying glass you could find a few small dings, I'm sure, but there's nothing that detracts from the beauty of the bass. Nice medium-low action, plays like a dream. Currently strung with DR fatbeams in fairly good shape. Worth noting that I've taken out the plastic battery holder thingy from the control cavity in order to fit two batteries in there. I'll happily reverse this if the buyer prefers, although the bass does sound better running off 18v to my ears. (I did check with Warwick before doing this, it's fine to run 18v). Comes with some wax and the original warwick gig bag, although it's pretty knackered I'm afraid. I'd like £1200, collected from London ideally. Shoot me a PM! AJ p.s. serial details here: Serial No.: M-089353-01 Article Code: 1274030004BDBPOOWW produced: 17/12/2001 Info: Thumb Bass, 4-string Natural Oil finish Bubinga Pommele body Ovangkol neck Black hardware

Up for sale is my Aphex Bass Xciter pedal. This is a fantastic little gadget - basically (if my understanding is correct) the Xciter range of products aims to restore the harmonics that are lost in the signal chain and amplification process. This 'bass' version is especially voiced for bass, and allows you to dial in low and/or high harmonics for deeper, smoother lows and more air and definition in the high end. Basically you get a clearer, enhanced sound - making your amp sound like it cost a lot more than it did! The pedal also doubles as a DI box, and can be phantom powered via the DI output if needed. I'm looking for £60 with postage and a couple of spare batteries included. Cheers!
If the fingerboard is ebony (and it certainly looks quite dense and smooth, unlike the standard wenge), then it will be a customer spec and quite unusual/more expensive.
Ebony fingerboard is standard for the Thumb NT (wenge for BO). That piece of bubinga is exceptional though
