Dude that ain't right...no band should EVER demand you get a specific bass. What do they know about it that it's good for you / the band? Most guitarists are dumb when it comes to bass as they forget we don't cover our sound with distortion so I'd be interested in how he knows a Stingray is right. Get a bass you like. Plus, if you wana real 'Ray, prepare to pay over £1000 and that's for ONE pickup!
tbh the guys in the band know their stuff and know what i like better than i do lol
-
for you guys who have a musicman, would your say they are good for rock music? if you have a look at www.myspace.com/astronotmusic and listen to the new recording clips and you will hear what kinda sound im looking for
-
Wouldn't sell mine for £600 or less. Faaaarrr tooooo niiiiccceeee
ok ill give you £610 lol
-
its not that im letting them choose my bass, however before i started playing in the band i played guitar and knew nothing about bass, and the last two basses i bought along with my bass rig were through their advise. the reason im lookin at the aerodyne is completly cosmetic and the only time i have heard one i thought it sounded great. saldy im not flush enough to buy a stingray new so will be lookin for a second hand stingray
-
are they really as good as everyone says?? im currently in the market for an aerodyne but the guitarist and drummer in my band demand i get a stingray, and the nearest music shop to me where i can try one out is about a 5 hour drive away... so guys im looking to you for your opinion. im not sure what model to go for, i just know i wont end up goin for the lower range like the Subs
I might be in the market for one of these when (perhaps i should say if) the band get a bass capable PA. Have a discreet bump on me.
One of these is a must have, it saves me £1000. got one instead of svt2pro, got it home, put it through my b2re, the added volume and bass it gives is amazing
I have looked at this and it would be awesome but I'm planning a red US P-bass with maple neck.
go on buy it lol my main bass is actually a candy apple red us p bass, sadly im not selling it, its a keeper
