prices? Especially the ampeg
-
+1 for ampeg. They rock! This looks like a flippin amazing cab! I've seen 2 gigs in a row (well festivals) where this cab was used (with an ampeg head) and it's amazing! I'd love to get one of these in the future (say, 10 years when I get outa uni debts)
-
how much for just the cab? I've got an idetical amp (only 4x10" speakers)
-
I have a boss ODB-3 going pretty cheap. PM me if u want a price - I'm not sure if I want to part with it if the priceaint right !
-
oooooh, can you knock down the price at all? Just a smidge. I'm going to be coming into contact with some money soon. I'm interested. Have a bump!
-
aah! hold your horses! My drummer may well want these! he;s not the quickest to jump, tho
-
hot damn. That was one smoking deal for someone. I'd take just the cab for £200. HOWEVER, I have no money (well, not enough)
-
ok, i am craaaappp with speaker cabs and power ratings and what-not. I've got an ashdown MAG-300 EVO II combo with 4x10" cabs. Will my second output from my amp kill this cab if i buy it?
EDIT
just seen that you've been using a 300 watt head thorugh it -
I'm thinking this doesn't work with MAG EVO-II series?
-
woolly mammoth!!! they rock (with a passive bass )
-
I'll go and ask my drummer! he has no kit >.<
-
excellent! Cool to have you here!
-
I know the feeling! I'm playing this sunday with a drummer who's about to go on tour in a band called 'capital' supporting athlete for 8 gigs.. O.o
I've also played with many other musicians much more talented than me by a VERY noticable amount!.. and I'm only 15. it's scarey, but I'm really glad you're getting gigs with really decent musicians!! Good luck -
24V?!! FLIPPIN NORA!! Ah well, it's worth it if the XO version is anything to go by
have a free bump -
oh god yes. You gotta have one o' dem!
-
hmm, not to bad-mouth things on the forum, but I personally woudn't want to spend £3000 odd on things which have NO warrenty covering. Also, (especially with new basses) there's nothing quite like handing over the cash for your first guitar at a shop . But it's totally up to you, and don't just go and buy te first thing you see. Sometimes it's worth the petrol money going somewhere to get a better deal (i.e. brighton for GAK )

james jamerson?
Early Stevie Wonder stuff? (Sir duke, Master Blaster)
Jamiroquai has some nice funky stuff out there if you're into fx and synffs
oh, has anyone here badmouthed the rush bassist here? I hear he's pretty good! -
no I think it was a BMS on full blast.... ok it's because it's an ashdown! They're the skoda of the bass playing world
-
hmmm, I've been youtubing for hours... what the heck does the moog actually do?!
-
ok, just got back from a rehersal. I don't think we'll want this - We've got an 8 channel powered mxer, and it's not worth the money just for 5 extra channels, plus having to lugg around another bit of kit.
-
My band may want this. I'm going to a rehersal in about an hour's time. I'll be in contact! actually... we do have the money (from gigs) for this... hmm.. it's a possibility.
I will get back to you -
hmmm, what rig do you have at the moment? I'd say get a decent bass (i.e. worth over £800) and a decent amp (300 watts or over) first, then you can go down the effects route. It worked for me, and I've never looked back. I can now focus all my money on getting a hugggge pedalboard. Speaking of which, home-made pedalboards are no much better than bought ones! :D::D:D:D
-
ooooh! It's a possibility! I'll just pay my debtsfor my last purchase to my Dad and then I may make you an offer. Consider this open to anyone else for the tim being, though.
-
hmm, yes. I just think that I couldn't live with myself buying something that I won't use live! It just seems a waste. So I always go for the ashdowns, EHs, and synffs

damn! Got to sibelius before me. Yeah i used it for music GCSE coursework and it gets everything down perfectly. Highly recommend it (ecept it takes some getting used to and is best inputted my MIDI, not mouse or keyboard)
