LITTLEWING

Hey chaps, I have a Peavey 300 bass combo and would like to run an extension cab from it. It says to use another 4 ohm cab but I have access to an 8 ohm 1 x 15". Can I use it without any ill effects to the Peavey? I'm probably wrong but I think it will be 6 ohms ( 4 + 8 divided by two ). I run it at present with the master on full and only about 4 on the pre-gain so it won't be working too hard.

I'm playing more bass now than rhythm and lead and am looking towards a stomp box and wondered (without being a bit Homer Simpson) if I can play bass thru' my Boss ME-50 without it throwing a wobbly ? If so, why make a bass version of the box ?

Hey chaps, Any ideas for restoring a tired looking cabinet without recovering with new vinyl? I thought about black vinyl paint either brush or spray for car bumpers.

I've just started playing again after a long boring break. My question is I'm working with some guys who tune down to drop D with a C bottom. Which strings, guage, (round or flat) would be best sounding and not go too floppy without having to go too high action? Also, which would stay 'alive' longest as I always have the bottom E (C in this case) dying off in no time?
