I had one of these, and only let it go because I had too many basses, and tended to use my Classic series Fiesta Red P bass for gigs....

But oh how I wish I could have justified keeping my Sonic Blue Squier CV precision! I have owned & played quite a few P basses over the years, and these are absolutely amazing. If I didn't have my current fave P bass.... I'd still have my CV P. This colour is just soooo cool too.

I don't know the seller personally, but if you're looking for a top quality Precision- look no further.

    Cheers Marc,

I'm so torn as its a great player, sounds great and has the best blue colour but I have two Walshy P Basses which are ace and I'm just thinking about something else for some 80's covers stuff I'm doing hence the trade options.

I'm only making it available for a week and then it'll be withdrawn

  2. Basically brand new, never been on my board but has some really good reviews..possibly an always on pedal and if you're lucky - the microscopic hair may come with it..postage a fiver

The sE Electronics Reflexion Filter X or (RF-X for short) is the most affordable Reflexion Filter yet and still blows all of the copycats out of the water! The reason that copycats don't work as well as the real Reflexion Filter is that the copy's tend to just be a single layer of foam against a hard backing board. The real RF-X has multiple layers (including an air gap) that are fine tuned for maximum conditioning, with minimum colouration. That's the only way to get the perfect vocal sound every time!

Here's What sE Electronics Say About the RF-X

Unwanted audio ambience may be generated if working in ‘untreated’ acoustic environments when recording and this naturally affects the quality of any signal captured via microphone. Six years ago sE Electronics were the first company to develop a solution to this commonplace problem and launched the highly successful Reflexion Filter RF-Pro. We are proud to announce that recently sE Electronics were awarded a US patent for the design standard and this applies to ALL sE Electronics Reflexion Filter products - including the brand new RF-X.

With RF-X anyone can capture great-sounding vocal recordings anywhere. Available today, the sE Electronics RF-X is the latest high- performance acoustic filter joining sE’s highly-acclaimed line of successful and industry standard Reflexion Filter products. Using the same US patented design technology as the RF-Pro, the new RF-X has been conceived to answer the needs of the discerning recording artist working on a budget. With a new lightweight body and re-designed lightweight clamp assembly, the RF-X is simplicity itself, providing unbeatable performance and ease-of-use.

New materials have been developed to make it lighter than its predecessors but also to maintain it’s durability - helping to position RF-X as a versatile product suited for any challenging working environment. It features a four layer acoustic filter design comprising the outer composite panel itself, a wool fabric layer, an air gap layer and an inner acoustic foam layer. This multi-layer design with air gaps differentiates the RF-X from its competitors by helping to ensure that recordings exhibit almost zero sound coloration when using the filter.

The RF-X clamp assembly also utilises a new lightweight design allowing it to be used on almost any microphone stand. It has been simplified to achieve this and allows vertical mounting only - making it the perfect solution for vocal recording. (We recommend the IRF2 for angled instrument miking, or the RF-Pro for specialised vocal mic positioning).

  4. Bought this, set it up and used it for literally 10 minutes and hasn't been used since so it's brand new - will add photos later and price includes postage in the UK.

    Product Description

The X1S is the latest innovation in the hugely popular SE Electronix X1 series. Since its release in 2010 The X1 been the first choice for producers that want a hand crafted all rounder microphone on a budget. Praised for its dynamic range and powerful SPL handling capabilities, the X1 is a sensible choice, especially when you combine its performance and value.

The X1S offers the next generation for the X1; improved in almost every way whilst being just as affordable as the now classic X1 design. This vocal pack combines the new X1S with sE Electronics' Isolation pack that features a shockmount and pop shield in an innovative single design. Like it's predecessor, the X1S gets it's impressive performance characteristics through a hand-crafted 1" true condenser capsule. Built by expert technicians, each capsule is tuned to make sure that the microphone you buy will be able to capture the minute details of your performances in its recordings.

    What's New?

The X1S has newly designed electronics that keep noise to an absolute minimum. The original X1 was quiet, but this new ultra low noise design makes the X1S one of the quietest mics at this price point. This means that you can capture even the most sensitive instruments and quiet voices without tearing your hair out trying to balance the level!

As well as being able to handle the quietest of instruments, the X1S also now handles the loudest instruments too. The mic offers both -10dB and -20dB pad switches so that you can close mic even the loudest of sources like a guitar cabinet, or a blasting trumpet without fear of clipping. Also included is the option of 2 switchable low cut filters at 80Hz or 160Hz so that you can easily take control of a wayward low end, deal with the proximity effect or just cut out external background noise like the rumble of traffic.

    Extra Upgrades

The X1 S comes complete with a rock-solid, newly designed swivel mic clip and thread adapter to fit with any mic stand. The mic offers an all metal housing not only looks great, but it also protects from any electrical interference and noise. What's more, the XLR connector is now gold plated so that you get the most reliable, loss free connection.
