many thanks to Schnozzalee for helping me to find out exactly what model this bass is.

It's a Korean SJX-4 bass and has the following spec

The closest thing I've seen to it is on the Japan website..and I can't find a serial number on the bass at all..durrr
I bought it a couple of months back from E-bay.I'd heard of them from the 90's and thought that besides it looking really nice, could have potentially found a custom job for a stupid price
