Im not sure ive ever seen a one piece of wood bass from body/neck to headstock.... like ever.!! ??  

I will start by saying i was brought up listening to Anita Baker The Gap Band George Benson Earth Wind And Fire   etc.that was my childhood for years My mum always had George Benson The Ojays playing when i was  a nipper. Usually funky soul stuff playing..    I just wondered if personally your early years had any bearing on the way you play now.? 

Bucket list bass a Meridian Jazz. A high end modern Jazz bass without the stupid money.

Ive seen Ed live a couple of times. Once with his band and the second time with Incognito at the Jazz Cafe in London. 

Im not sure such a bass exists. Not a USA model anyway.

IMO. She was just incredible. No vocal aids. Totaly live . This vid says it all. Just straight up vocal power and control she got from church. 

Very cool. Ive owned a Sei J 5 and they are fabulous instruments. 

I had one of these in Pink. What a bass it was . These are the real deal. Gotoh tuners made in Japan.......amazing what quality you can get for £300. As good as any TRB Japan made bass..

This album is probably in my top 5 favourite albums of all time. Its so well produced and played. He and the band the band were so on their game back then.  He wrote Holding Back the Years when he was 17. Says it all about the guy. imo. 

They were the real deal... 12 inches of magic from the Lopez Sisters. 

Many a dance floor ive bobbed my head to this this utter classic. Was never much of a dancer.

That is great price for one of the greatest jazz basses on the planet.

Beyer Dynamic DT 990s without doubt. They are the the greatest most comfortable, clearest, most well made headphones available. (imo) There not cheap but there are not super expensive. Open back so they are good to let the bass guitar sound good. I dont like the closed backed 770's. For bass they are too compressed and hold in too much sound personally. You can buy replacement ear pads if they get worn out too ... 

Abyss Audio do a pair called the Diana TC and they are £4700. Supposed to be incredible but you may want high end seperates for those bad boys. HIFIMan do a pair for nearly £6000. 

Stick with Beyers they will last you life time.

Ive seen this guy several times live. He is totally totally awesome.  A bonafide soul talent easily up there with D Angelo etc. To see this guy live with his voice and his piano playing is probably one of the greats of my live music experiences. Me and my sister met him at the Jazz Cafe in London and he sat with us and talked about music and life. A real gem of a human being..

This........... They are musicians. Its obviously their passion. They dont need the money. Too many cynics around. Alot of people love the Stones. Let them play until they cant anymore. Not many bands have lasted this long.
