  1. I bought this so that I could run both outputs of my Yamaha Attitude into it at the same time. However, I’m using my Spector into a B7k for pretty much everything now so I’ve taken this off my board. It’s very flexible, the ability to dial clean tone back into your signal means no bottom end loss. Comes with original box and instructions. Has a couple of very small paint chips, which I’ve tried to capture in the photos, but works perfectly. Has Velcro on the underside. Price includes UK Mainland postage

  2. Recently added a Darkglass B7k to my board, so this is surplus to requirements. In good condition, works perfectly. Gives a nice vintage tone as you would expect, but can also get very gnarly. Has Velcro on the bottom. Comes with the original box and instruction sheet. Price includes mainland UK postage

  3. Used my Euro LX at full band rehearsal tonight, first time through my rig since having the LHZ-03 installed. No pedals, just bass into GK Fusion 550, and Barefaced Big Twin 2. Absolutely loving it!

  4. Just bought a Darkglass pedal from George. Very smooth transaction, speedy delivery and the pedal was superbly packaged. Great guy to deal with

  5. Picked my Euro LX from the tech this morning. LHZ-03 preamp installed and some luminlay fret markers installed too. Only played it briefly through my headphone amp, but the LHZ sounds fab! Have to wait about a week to hear it cranked through my GK amp, but I think I’m going to be impressed 😊

  6. I have a brand new LHZ 03 preamp for sale. I bought two, but have changed my mind about one of the basses I was going to use them in. I paid £175 plus delivery from bass direct and ideally id like £150 incl mainland UK postage. The contents of the box are shown in the picture, this is the one I’m keeping. The one you’ll receive hasn’t even been opened. You are welcome to collect if you are in the Bristol area

LHZ-03 with everything up to 10 makes life very easy. The only adjustment I need to do is to roll off the treble for a couple of songs.

And I just happen to have a brand new LHZ 03 preamp that I’m about to list in the classifieds. I bought two, but have had a change of mind about what I’m doing with one of the basses in question. 😊

What's the 550 like in comparison as far as tone? Same preamp, very different tech in the power amps, how does that translate?

Tone wise they’re very similar. To me, the 550 sounds like the MB on steroids, it sounds huge. I played through a 550 at multi band event years ago and always wanted one, but they rarely came up second hand, and when they did it was always the wrong time for me. My current set up is Spector Euro 4LX>Fusion 550>Barefaced Big Twin 2, and I can’t see me ever wanting to change it.

I've just bought the GK MB Fusion 500 that Gary Mac was selling. Mainly as a very portable amp to drive the 8x10 in the rehearsal room (cos the resident Elf doesn't cut it).

After spending a good few hours with it, it can, as you might expect from a GK, pretty much do anything.

It's even got a "Spector Switch”. Now, they don’t call it that, obviously but it’s there and it’s labelled up as “-14dB”.

Also, one of the many benefits of a GK is that they're beautifully made and can be repaired.

GK-ology came flooding back to me quite quickly, it's surprisingly (or not) similar to the 700RBii I had when I was playing in a function band years ago.  After about 30 minutes I was left feeling a bit miffed with myself for not having owned a GK in 15 years.

By far the best class d head I ever had. I went through a phase of trying lots of class D amps, I tried TC, Mark bass, Aguilar, Genz Benz, Darkglass and the MB fusion easily my favourite. I kept it much longer than I kept any of the others. I now use a GK Fusion 550 but have often thought of picking up another MB Fusion for rehearsals and to take to gigs as a back up

  10. I’ve got a gig booked in on that date, so im looking at £250 for a ticket, and losing out on gig earnings. It’s very tempting though. I’d love to see Ozzy joined by Zakk Wylde, who I’m assuming will be playing with Pantera. Would be a bit of nostalgia for me, the No rest for the wicked tour was one of the first gigs I went to

  11. I’ve got the NUX Mighty Plug Pro, it just plugs straight into your bass and then plug your headphones into the unit. Links with an app called Mighty Amp, or there’s another version called Mightier Amp. Links to your phone via Bluetooth for playing along to tracks. Pre loaded drum tracks, and the ability to make your own patches via the app with lots of effects

Yes or buy one from me 🤩

Apologies for the thread resurrection, but do you still make these cables? I have the Boss WL-50 and it doesn’t seem to play nicely with my Spector Euro. Been advised that using an adaptor cable and popping the transmitter into a pouch on my strap would cure the issue.

Low end Lobster did a video about machine heads that are a direct replacement for Sire tuners.  They were pretty much sold out in most places I checked, when I researched a few months ago.

Lobster has done some really good upgrade videos. Looks a bit different now but good to see the channel active again

  14. I was looking at these this morning. Thomann is showing Z3’s in stock. I’m tempted by the Z3 four string in antique white. I’ve got a V7 vintage gen 2 and it’s a great bass for the price. The Z3 at £366 seems like pretty good value
