1. Hi Basschatters, I'll try to do this as short as possible, as I don't think this bass needs many words. Problem: My economy Solution: I might sell the best bass I've ever played Specs: Celinder J Classic 4 Alder Body in Shoreline Gold. Birdseye maple neck with matching headstock Amazing Braz. rosewood fretboard with claydots Comes with vintage white and black pickguard and orginal case. Alleva Coppollo single coil pickups. ($250,- upgrade) I got this bass from Rory/SpinalTab in november 2010, it's 4 years old, and the condition is 95%++ It's the bass that I intended to go with me to the grave, as it's so good. It still might be that, as I'm not in a hurry, the price is completely firm, and I need no trade offers. I'm asking the same amount as I gave, namely 2950GBP / 3430 Euros. (eventually + the price of a Hipshot drop-D tuner I mounted on the bass) The price is without shipping. It's in Copenhagen. Questions are welcome. Cheers, /René. 2.
Hi Brusen, my understanding is that the bass was originally supplied with a standard CP and Celinder pickup. The purchaser found a mould mark on the pickup and returned the bass. After a bit of messing about (all the pickups had the same mould mark), there was a decision to fit the Nordstrand and at the same time the Agi (maybe it's perceived to fit better with the Nordy?) I'm afraid that's all I know (or think I know) - whatever the truth, the tone is spectacular!
Ok, sounds weird. I also had a P vintage 4 once, a very nice bass. It was supplied with a P size neck though. And the CP-2 preamp and Celinder pickup. /R.
3. Nice bass....why aguilar preamp instead of the CP-2? /R.
4. Hub also plays the bass in The Roots, right? Haha, stoncecoldbass' band did not do much to make the version they're playing different from the original live version!!!!! But great band, cd and song(s) IMHO.
5. Arh, again my old bass for sale All I can say is: HUGE bass and HUGE tone. I was the 2. owner of this bass. You're right, not many 6 string Celinders around. Chris told his most popular model is the J update 5. /R.
6. Thanks for the replies......still available though
7.
Stunning - I want! Why did you have to post this 3 weeks before my wedding?
So you can tell your coming wife to buy this bass and give it to you as a wedding gift
8. Hi Basschatters, Out for grabs is this STUNNING and BEAUTIFUL Celinder PJ update 5. It has served me very well for a year now, it sounds stunning and the quality is of it's own league. Specs: Piano black ash body, P-bass shape The most beautiful birdseye maple fingerboard/neck, a true beauty CP-3 preamp, sounds so good and is so easy to use 35" scale = thunderous B-string. Celinder bridge, hipshot tuners. Celinder pickups. Condition is overall excellent: neck is nearmint, body has superficial scratches and only one crack in the finish(check pic). The scratches will disappear after a polish, and as it's a black body, you'll have to look carefully to notice any of these. It will ship in a Celinder(Hiscox) case. Price is 2200BP/2490€(shipped within Europe). IBAN prefered, paypal also accepted. For sale only, reasonable offers welcome, no lowball offers, please. Thanks for looking, René. 9. It handles minimum 2 ohm, footswitch is included(I forgot to tell) and UK power is the same. /René.
10. I actually think I remember that chris said it was going to belgium. so i've had this bass in my hands. I traded my p vintage 4 months ago, it was a good bass, reliable on a tour i was on. I still think I would prefere a passive toned P instead of the cp3 preamp. But that's just my taste enjoy!
11. it's a nice one, rory. Did you pick it up in the netherlands? I definitely think that blocks and/or binding is a jazz bass thing. It looks OK on this one though. Nice bass. 2. hand Celinders are cheap these days, a shame if you have no money How old is the bass? I think I might have seen it at Chris old workshop, a couple of years ago.
12. I definitely think it's the same bass. not from 2007. but yes, contact him. he lives in copenhagen.
13. I talked with this guy half a year ago, we had a long talk about woods and stuff like that. He sounded like a good guy. As far as I remember, the bass was build in mid 90s.
14. haha...yes I could tell you. There are quite a few at the moment, sometimes three are no Celinders on the Danish market.

17. yes, I did a trade with this guy. He have been selling Celinders, Foderas and vintage basses for many years. I think if you contact him, he will maybe give a good price. this is a nice fretless celinder http://beatmusic.dk/celinder3/gallery.html now we're talking fretless celinders. René.
18. buy this one instead http://beatmusic.dk/jazzbass2/gallery.html
19. I would have one build with humbuckers that you can split into singles. A cool option for a fretless I think.
